Nice deflection...Sergio Martinez & GGG are moving down to 154...All eyes on Mayweather

Ask GGG what fight he wants: Mayweather
Ask Sergio the same question: Mayweather
Ask Mundine about his dream: Mayweather
Ask Hopkins the big question: Mayweather

Ain't nobody want to fight Sergio Martinez, the GGG fight is not anyones priority now, Sergio is an Argentino they don't duck nobody, its in the PEDs they get from meat in their cows, makes them exceptionally brave & good looking...The fight will happen after Mayweather fights them or retires for good

Sergio Martinez sole purpose of taking Cotto is to await Mayweather in 154

I don't think Martinez has ducked Golovkin but after he beats Cotto he needs to have a pretty big fight lined up, like Mayweather, to not face Golovkin or it will look bad on the champ.

After being off for more than a year and coming off an injury it's perfectly reasonable he doesn't face Golovkin right away and there's nothing wrong with him facing Cotto next.

The only other time he could have faced Golovkin while Golovkin was actually on people's radar (besides hardcore fans) was the Murray fight and even then Golovkins best wins were probably Proska and Rosado. That version of Golovkin didn't rate that much higher than Murray at the time.

A lot of Golovkins popularity increase and two of his biggest wins have come during Martinezs layoff. I just don't see much case for saying Martinez is ducking Golovkin at this point.

at 38 sergios main objective is to make as much money as possible, in the shortest time frame as possible with the least amount of risk as possible

and if you were in sergios broken down body you would do exactly the same.

its not like martinez is running around saying that hes p4p or one of the greatest mw's ever

sergio, like canelo, wants to fight cotto because hes a faded blown up welterweight coming off a meaningless ko win and was UDed by both floyd and trout. the same trout that was dominated against lara

if they fought tommorow sergio would be a minimal +300 against ggg.

Have you been living in a cave? GGG has been asking for Sergio FOREVER. Please tell me you're trolling with this. Golovkin would take the Sergio fight in a heartbeat and you, and I everyone else knows this.

    Thanks.

I just want fans, who collectively contribute to the paydays these fighters receive, to hold them to proper standards like they were in the past. Fans acting like it's all good to get garbage fights just so their guys can make "X amount" while simultaneously acting like they're economic experts on the matter are sickening.

In the end you're paying for little to nothing at that point.

They need to recognize that an event where Floyd fights Martinez @ 155 and other stipulations is not a legit MW win and that Martinez avoiding his MW threat is not a real champion. And standards like that need to be upheld.

If not, then they can go watch celebrities, rappers and other miscreants make plenty of money on reality TV and leave us to enjoying boxing.

That idiot doesn't deserve a response. He's on here admitting Mayweather takes the easiest route and predicting that Mayweather "might soon" take some risks since talent is surrounding him... and saying "all praise Mayweather".

    :patsch

Do you guys like fighters or celebrity like persona's? I don't see much evidence that you like real fighters.

You're more interested in reality series build ups, what someone's income level is and other out of ring things that what goes on inside the ring, which is historically the defining memorable thing.

I've never seen an era where a ducking champion gets a pass because fans are so 'in the know' about the 'business and politics' side and congratulate them on adding to their bank accounts, which is more money than you'll likely ever have as it stands, meanwhile we get bull****, garbage fights.

Back in previous era's the ducking champion was subject to intense ridicule in blatant obvious situations and there still are asterisks on certain names, such as Riddick Bowe throwing his title in the garbage.

No need to mention Mayweather, he's a complete joke. An elite fighter that doesn't fight in the elite league. History is going to rate him poorly.

He's not an ATG and Martinez is not a HOF'er. Now if he defeats GGG, then that's his legacy point into the HOF when combined with his other consistent achievements.

No, but he's rated as such and regarded as the MW champ and has been holding the lineal MW title. So unless he wants to vacate that and go fight on the circus event league with TMT related stuff, then he's going to be held to the standard of the MW champ and criticized for not fighting the MW best.

That's for anyone. Fans need to quit this idiocy and demand a better sport.

What are you going to do about it? What do suggest be done about it? Start a movement. Other than that you are just another anonymous fan in a sea of anonymous fans.

^ Just putting out the view of it. Even this forum here has a lot of people on it. 1 turns to 2, 2 turns to 4, a writer may see this... etc...

If you don't start talking about it then nothing happens. The turn to this sort of stuff we see now was a gradual thing, with the ideals of it being progressively beaten into people's heads, so the reverse of it would be a gradual response to it due to people knowing better being tired of it.

    Besides, just killing time anyway.

You know what man, I can appreciate that, you're holding the industry accountable. Taking all of these guys to task. I think the mind shift will take a while as it's easy to create a world beater in the media. Good luck. :good

    Dumb.

Brutal Ls to Pac and Margarito at WW, with good Ws at WW like Mosely, Judah and Quintana and Ls to Mayweather and Trout recently @ LMW do not = resume worthy of MW lineal title in current context.

In fact aside from Mosely, Cotto's lost all of his mega fights.

    Resume @ LMW-MW for Cotto = Nothing.

3G's at least sparked some top 10-15 MWs in dominant form.
