I see the main point of my post went right over your head . . . it was about Pac keeping his image clean and secondarily was about the fight. in 2009 the fight was a done deal/ contracts written up and ready to go but Pac walked away over testing. It may have been on Principle (personally I think it was Arum thinking twice about everything and advising him to do otherwise) but he should have just taken the test back then and call him if it was only a bluff. But history will always remember that Pac was the one who walked away when the fight actually meant something

 

I don't understand where all the Floyd ducking Mosley comes from. Shane refused to fight Floyd years ago as he said he had tooth ache. Floyd then fought Shane when he was champ and just beat the **** out of Margerito.

Cotto said only recently that he never wanted the Floyd fight when he was at 140/147 as he was not ready for it. He admitted he never chased the fight whatsoever. Of course Arum is going to say this and that, Floyd just left his promotional company.

These are facts, the fighters themselves have admitted this. Watch the video, tell your brain to believe your ears and digest the information. You can say Floyd ducked Margerito to fight Hatton but come on, who had Margerito beaten at the time? I'm a fan of Margerito but Hatton v Floyd was a super fight, the weigh in was bigger than anything scheduled for this year!!!!!

JMM was ranked number 2 at the time but yes Floyd should have never fought him, he was too small at the weight.

Mayweather was harshly criticized for fighting Marquez. This was the case despite the fact that Marquez was ranked number 2 p4p and despite the fact that Mayweather had been out of action for almost 2 years. Pacquiao has been active and Gamboa has looked bad recently. He's not in anyone's top 10 or even 20. I don't see this fight getting made at this time.

 

Floyd's testing records are made public...open those tiny eyes and look for yourself wee fella.

Margo had actually just lost to Williams when Mayweather signed to fight Hatton. The popular narration is that Mayweather ducked Margo to fight Baldomir. Anyway, Mayweather has gotten the label as a ducker. As such, people will apply it even when it makes no sense. Look at how many people claim he ducked Tszyu. Tszyu had no interest in fighting Floyd and had a deal to fight exclusively on Showtime(Mayweather was an HBO fighter at the time).
