Looks like a top 20 All time middle. Needs a match with a top level guy, but who will risk it? Not Hopkins or Martinez.

I'm impressed by what I have seen so far. He seems to have that same composure and unflappable nature vintage Chavez did. He is sytlistically a bit similar too, and I like that digging left hand to the body.

He needs to step up the competition a bit though, but as Mendoza has said, it's going to be tough when it seems nobody wants to risk a fight with him. I have a feeling that if he can't find a matchup against Martinez within a year, he may have to move up to 168.

I'd like him to stay at 160 and cement himself as the best guy there first though. (I think he is already but needs to get the fights to prove it.)

He looks very good, he appears to have every raw ingredient a fighter might need. I like him at 160, I think he'd run out of durability at 168, I don't think he's got the natural size for it at 5'10 70".

As always though I'm reserving judgement until he knocks over someone very very good.

    Champion Sergio Martinez
    1. Gennady Golovkin
    2. Peter Quillin
    3. Felix Sturm
    4. Darren Barker
    5. Daniel Geale
    6. Martin Murray
    7. Sam Soliman
    8. Matthew Macklin
    9. Marco Antonio Rubio
    10. Andy Lee

In this division, that means Martinez. Golovkin is going to have to take the short end of the money to get this fight made. That's the way it is when you are a massive puncher and not an American. That's the way the world is. Sturm and Quillin would also do a job confirming him for me. Big year for him I hope.
