The same Boone who knocked down ward and KTFO Adonis? This is one of the worst threads I've ever been foolish enough to click on.

You can't. At least I've looked pretty hard and asked around and there doesn't seem to be any footage available.

The OP sums up the few fight reports there are.

It seems that Kovalev had Boone in trouble early but didn't press his advantage (there's reference to this in the Boone II commentary - something about Kovalev saying he wouldn't let him off the hook this time around).

Kovalev was down in 7 and by his own account really struggled to get to the end of the fight. Apparently Kovalev had done enough in the earlier rounds to overcome the KD and (presumably) losing the last.

The fight was also in Diesels backyard, and at the time he was a much bigger name than the unknown 9-0 Kovalev so I think a robbery is unlikely.

In talking about the fight Kovalev mentions that he was badly prepared mentally and that he was quite nervous about the fight (at the time Boone was the best fighter Kovalev had faced by a wide margin).

    From 'Scene 2010:

Sergei says he did well in 1-4 not so well in 5-6 and only got through to the end on willpowerbut that it was a big learning experience for him. I suppose that it could suggest stamina issues but at the time Kovalev was just a year in from fighting 3 round amateur bouts.

    :good

Cheers M8 - I'm doubtful, but If you do find it I'd really appreciate the hookup.

Kovalev has an aluminium laced jaw that would take everything Adonis could throw at it.

Kovalev destroys Adonis, Hopkins and Shumenov easy.

Ward has a glass jaw because Boone put him down. Kovalev has an iron jaw and Boone put him down in fight 1.

It's not swept under the rug, I thought it was common knowledge that Kovalev doesn't have the greatest of jaws? Thing is, neither does Stevenson and with their power it's really crazy.
