Yes, obviously. If they fought again, Khan would be so tentative that he'd play right into Maidana's hands. Maidana would hurt him like before, but he'd finish him this time.

I see current Maidana stopping Khan within the first 5.

Of course, anything that Khan accomplished previously couldn't possibly be done (being sarcastic)

Honestly speaking, It would be difficult to favor Khan in a rematch because Maidana looks much improved. But Khan is capable of winning. I've heard multiple experts (Robert Garcia, Malignaggi, Roy Jones to name a few) still giving Khan a chance at career redemption. Interestingly, those less accomplished seem less convinced. Boxing is a brutal sport. Perhaps Khan has seen his better days. But only time will tell.

It's true, he has a chance at redemtion, but they are rushing him. What he should do is take a year fighting at lower levels. Fight guys ranked outside the top 10 to get his style correct and build confidence slowly. The fact that he is pushing for Mayweather makes it seem like they're trying to cash out before the ship sinks, as a win seems unrealistic.

Not sure. Khan still has the tools to do what he did in the first fight, out box him like Alexander did. Maidana still has a chance tyo KO Khan like the first fight. Nothing has changed, i still think both fighters could get KO

Khan outboxed him yes, but he basically only survived in the later rounds, and since then it looks like Khan diminished somewhat (judging on his last 4 fights) and Maidana really improved. Plus we don't know how Khan is going to react to the higher weightclass because he never fought at welter before.
All points to a Maidana stoppage win.

Marcos isn't suddenly a great fighter of course, he just beat someone that was massively overrated by some.

I dont see how Khan has dimisheed since then. getting dropped a couple times doesnt mean he doesnt have any skills. and Miadana has really got any better to be honest

A case could be made for Maidana winning the first fight, and with Maidana's drastic improvement and Khan' decline the result is as much of a foregone conclusion as is possible in boxing.
