Kovalev hasn't been KOd by some ham n' egger. Stevenson has. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out who's got the fragile whiskers here.:deal
They both have relatively weak jaws Never said Stevenson didn't One punch from either guy would knock out the other. :deal
Darnell Boone knocked his ass down Kovalev was knocked down and OUT by some random amateur back in the days. Learn your facts, dingaling. :hi:
He moved up in weight but seems too big and has stamina issues. edit: he moved back to 175 ever since
The Russians have or will have the #1 guy at lightweight, middle weight, light heavyweight, crusier weight, and heavyweight. So unless we are talking about flyweights-featherweights or the silly jr or super divisions, yes they are taking over the sport.
First was the fall of the iron curtain. Now top amateur boxers have a chance to go pro. But there was little interst in money for them in the early 1990's The success of the Klitschko's was a game changer. Now German, Russian and North American based promoters shelling out money to the top amateur fighters, which in many cases are Eastern European. Pro boxing on the lower levels is a hard gig. But give a guy a large singing bonus and promise him a chance for riches and fame, and top amateurs with a game that translates well into the pros will go for it! I also think this generation of USA kids aren't a hardy lot. They are lazy, over weight, and sometimes shower with luxury items that other children do not have. Such as situation is not conducive to producing lots of fighters. Combine those two factors and you get the current landscape.
OMG Kovalev's has a egg chin. Wow that punch didn't look that hard and plus he had head gear. Wow when he steps up he will be exposed.
