I'm guessing he's not only vegan, but carefully watches his intake of processed food too?

Becoming a vegan is the best thing to do for ur health and well being. If u no the right foods u will get all the nutrients u need from much better sources e.g hemp seeds for protein

I'm not speaking strictly as a vegan cos I eat limited amounts of poultry and fish, but for me it's about getting used to the idea of most your intake being fruits and vegetables. And also not being so attached to cooked / hot food, and critically, to taste..

We're so conditioned by the food industry, which includes tv cookery programmes, the cult of personality surrounding 'celebrity' chefs etc, and the whole idea of food being a pleasure, that suddenly everything we eat has to taste delicious..

But food is primarily fuel, not an indulgence. When you train hard and truly 'earn' your dinner it really doesn't have to be smothered in sauces or some fancy recipe to taste bloody good. Pretty much anything will do the trick when your hungry.

Problem is, we're spoiled. Food's too readily available, convenient, and tasty, for most to resist. Result, a nation of fatsos lol.

Sorry to waffle on BB, but it sounds like you need to not worry about your plate having the 'conventional' look we're so used to. Doesn't matter if lunch is some nuts, an apple, grapes, and a carrot. You don't necessarily need to be thinking about 'delicious' vegetarian recipes, vegatarian cookbooks, meat substitutes etc. Just re-think the idea of food and what it means generally.

Contrary to the public image there are plenty of fat vegetarians out there who are still attached to taste, which usually means sugar, fat..
