:deal. Beating a prime Holyfield is better than anything Wlad done. Bowe all day.

Wlad's dominance for so long is impressive, he clearly ranks higher than Bowe.

Bowe at his best would have beaten Wlad, but one great name on his resume and a short reign as champion does not compare to what Wlad has achieved.

Bowe's got those two Holyfield wins and good wins vs. Golota too, but overall his career was a bit of a disappointment - he made very few defenses and didn't fight all the best guys of his era. Wlad's long reign trumps what he Bowe did - he's fought a lot of pretty good challengers now (though no-one as good as Holy) and has the second most defenses of any champ so I'll go with him. Such a shame that Bowe vs. Lewis never happened in the pros. At their respective peaks, that was a real 50-50 fight.

Who on earth on Wlad's resume is even close to:

28-0 Holyfield coming off CW reign and Douglas win.

    26-0 Hide.

23-0 Amateur all star Jorge Luis Gonzalez. (Who was 1-1 with Lennox 2-0 with Bowe and 1-0 vs GOAT am Teofilo Stevenson)

Stopped Holyfield for the first time in their 3rd fight.

    plus the two Golota wins.

It's funny Wladimir is sorta in a dead era and is dedicated and disciplined but there is no fighters

Bowe was in a great era and lacked dedication and discipline

Bowe great win in Holyfield is better than anyone on Klitschko resume but h2h prime for prime I think Wladimir beats him

Overall I tihnk Wladimir will be remembered as the greater fighter neither is a ATG

Riddick Bowe is calling out Wladimir Klitschko:

“Screw all the haters I’ll be back in the ring and once again the heavyweight champion of the world. I’m coming for you Klitschko!”

sure h2h bowe kills wlad, but wlad has greater longevity which counts for something.

in fact, MUCH greater longevity. You cant discount the dedication this requires. Bowe simply could never do it. Wlad could, he had the mindset. Whilst Bowe might beat some of the ATGs and Wlad never would, Bowe would never be maintain the training and attitude needed for a long albeit lowly reign.

Career and H2H, Wlad all day. Bowe gave up his height, had good but not tremendous power and chin. He's about at the Tony Thompson 1 level, Wlad would ko him in 10 or 11.

Wlad, for me, rates higher on an ATG scale.

Have you ever seen Riddick Bowe or Tony Thompson fight? I am not a huge fan of Bowe, but he is vastly superior to Thompson in every facet of boxing expertise. He is a much better boxer, with more speed, power, and punch variety than a plodder like Thompson. Riddick Bowe would wipe the floor with Thompson (who would not have been even a top 20 fighter in the 90s or before).

Wlad is clearly much more skillful than Thompson, as well. But his timid style and less than solid chin would see him fall by KO to Bowe H2H.
