Broner is toast. Any of the top jr/ww would destroy him, period.

He will become a Lamont Peterson.

Surprised he didn't fight Lamont @ 140 to try and get another belt. Would have been an interesting fight.

He really should have looked at the longer-term and not jumped to WW for a quick, easy title vs. Malinaggi. He could still be making lightweight and dominating there and looking at a move up to 140 this year, to face a Peterson or Jean winner for example. By then Garcia will probably have gone to WW, maybe even Matthysse too and in late 2014-2015 JWW could have been there for the taking.

I don't think he remembered that even Mayweather was a pro for 8-9 years before he was a PPV attraction and by then he had perfected his craft instead of trying to jump the queue. Now he won't fight at lightweight anymore and the bubble is relatively burst.

I agree, he still has a big future and these things would help but I'm not sure if he will do them. I'm not sure he is capable of the attitude reversal he needs.

If he loses back to back fights with Maidana, it's a rap. He isn't SSM losing to Vernon.

Spot on. But they wouldn't really have to be 'top' guys either. Need I remind you he lost to a Tesco checkout assistant in Fernando Quintero, Ponce De Leon who was destroyed in one round by Juan Manuel Lopez, Paulie who was coming off a loss to C-Level Cano, and Maidana who was recently shut out by average Alexander. :deal

Broner vs Peterson at 140 would be an interesting match imo.

yeah, probably his handlers wanted to build a next PPV star @ 147, knowing that Floyd will retire ..... or they wanted to build Broner as a future 'big' opponent for Floyd. :think

yeah, but if you are lacking in discipline, hard work and dedication for the sport, you can be trained by one of the best trainers in the business and still u gonna fail against top level opposition.

broner really is done, he will never beat an elite fighter. an old fat morales gave maidana a boxing lesson, the only reason broner gets TV time is because of his giant mouth.
