I totally agree but the confidence behind the " easy night for Crawford " gang is pathetic im trying to highlight the fact that Crawford needs to step up DRAMATICALLY from his previous opponents to win the title. The Martinez fight is a prime example of how bloody difficult it will be for Crawford fighting in Scotland against a boxer of ricky's calibre. martinez was a proven quailty champion, Crawford is not!

Well i'm just highlighting the fact that unproven fighters have risen to the challenge at world level before. But by the sounds of you they wouldn't get the chance to prove it.
Another thing the Martinez fight IS a prime example because Ricky was ALSO unproven at world level going into that fight.
Terence Crawford deserves to be in that ring.

I can't find it either, that has to be one of the worst fights of 2013 Crawford almost got booed out of the building it was so bad.

Im sorry to all the Crawford nut huggers but he isn't beating Burns fighting like that, not a chance.

    Crawford will stop Burns

Dont have to have amazing power to stop someone just decent pop and good accuracy, he was busting Prescott up towards the end I see him busting Burns up from the start

Like Crawford did to Klimov, busted him up real good and stopped him very convincingly.

    Not

People said the same thing about Katsidis hes going to bust up Burns and stop him,it never happened.Fact of the matter here is Burns has never been stopped, the kid is as tough as nails and its gonna take someone really special to stop him.

    Crawford aint that special.

as I said before I totally agree with what your saying, the martinez example is a good point and I agree Crawford more than deserves his chance because he is ranked No. 2. Its all the burns haters and deluded Crawford fans I have an issue with. Crawford may well prove everyone correct and as I stated if he does do a job on burns in Scotland and ricky is on top form than he deserves to be champion. With regards to the judges I don't think it will go twelve rounds. I thought the Mitchell fight would definitely go twelve rounds but he could only manage 4. Can't wait its going to be a great fight.

I think you will find he is the champion if he's not the wbo champion who is?

Burns will win this one by either wide point decision or by a late stoppage , i expect to see Ricky in top form , what ever happens this is gonna be a great night of boxing for the fans

Fair enough pal i hope your right, but I think Crawford is going to run in this fight and trying steal the rounds.
The difference with Mitchell is he fancied his chances of knocking Ricky out so he stood right in front of him. I thought Burns would have got Mitchell, but not that early. I remember my brother telling me Mitchell wouldn't last more than 6 rounds with Burns not just because he got blasted out early by Katsidis because he nearly went before the halfway mark in both his fights with Johannson and Murray and Burns is bigger, better and stronger than both of them.
That's why i'm concerned with the judges in this fight because I think Crawford will use smash and grab guerilla tactics and will fancy his chances if it goes to points?

Maybe Crawford probably thinks though that he will need to stop burns rather than risk it going to points and if he fights that way I think it will turn into burns kind of fight. Its been proved in all countries that to fight in the champions back yard and get a decision it has to be seriously clear cut and I think with 10000 fans liftng the roof off everytime burns lands a punch the judges will give him the close rounds. I mean lets be honest the beltran fight the judges gave burns rounds 1,2,4,5,7,11 and 12 . I can make an argument for 1,7,11 & 12 BUT NOT 4 OR 5. The crowd will play a huge part and personally I think Crawford may bottle it

that's my gut feeling as well , late stoppage. Burns is hard to beat on points due to his workrate and he is almost impossible to stop. If he had serious punch power he would be unstoppable

Lets be honest Beltran got robbed! I was there that night and i had Ricky losing by one point, but I had my Burns blinkers on at the time as i was hoping Ricky got a round here and there, but when i watched the replay the next day i could only give Ricky 4 rounds. And i wouldn't be so sure Burns will get the decision if it goes to points because of the serious risk the judges take the fortunate Beltran decision into consideration. I mean boxing is so political these days they automatically take an eye for an eye and that's been proven in matches with bigger cash cows than Ricky Burns.
Home advantage will be a big help for Burns, but i hope he doesn't get another extra life due to it. As i want a fair fight this time where the best man can actually win and this is me being a Scottish Ricky Burns fan.

115-113 burns from the usa judge is mindblowing, would love to know how a professional judge scored that, what did he see different from the others? We have I suppose the beauty of replays!
