Floyd will never face a fighter like GGG, especially in his prime. He'll keep fighting mexicans or no-hopers.
Why make believe? After the Showtime contract Mayweather will have more financial leverage than ever before (which is saying a lot) and can dictate whatever terms he wants for what probably will be his swansong. Why not make oodles moving up to challenge Golovkin, who if still unbeaten and regularly appearing on HBO by then will have become quite a star in his right? Yeah, yeah - everyone is going to say he'll not risk the zero...but if the zero is only a part of his moneymaking strategy and he doesn't truly care about legacy as so many suggest, what does the zero matter at the very end of his career? Why not take a risk in the big cash-out when he will have no further need of the zero beyond that point?
I'd rather see this fight happen at 160 or nothing at all. I would honestly prefer Mayweather-Khan over a catchweight Mayweather-GGG fight.
Marinez also isn't half the boxer he used to be in 2009/2010. No shame in showing your age at 38+ obviously, but just saying.
duran fought marvin hagler...floyd is more technically skilled than duran....and ggg is no hagler. it's a winnable fight for floyd.
I would love to see it! But its not happening, and people need to be more realstc. only fighters from 140-154
