Vera won that fight, but you are wrong on one account.

Mayorga is nowhere near as big as Vera is on a physical standpoint. Vera is just a naturally bigger man who was able to standup to the few big hits that JCC Jr was able to deliver that night.

That and the fact that Mayorga is nowhere near the tough fighter he once was. Prime Mayorga didn't have a lot of skills, but he could dish punishment and could take it.

A slow and washed up Mayorga would make JCC Jr. look like a prime Tommy Hearns.

I love Mayorga but he's done and should retire before he ends up getting hurt.

If Mayorga could speak English he would have been a billionaire through PPV sales alone.

    His smack talk is hilarious.

If Mayorga were to come into the ring in shape, who knows? However, Mayorga is not as big as Vera, who beat the Hell out of Chavez...........

Yeah, but his power was the one(and only) thing that separated him from the pack... at 147. Now, he's talking about moving up 3 more weight classes and fighting Jr.? No way:bart. He's gonna get beat down....and not in an entertaining sort of way either...more like how Ned got beat in "Unforgiven":-(...
The sad part is that many of Jr's fans would watch the fight because of what Mayorga said after the Roach-Ariza tussle. If Ricardo's gonna make a comeback, he needs to be honest with himself and stay at 154. Then, he needs to string together some highlight reel knockouts against bums, then target a big name(Canelo, Cotto II) for a cash out fight.

Mayorga has no intention or chance of beating a world class fighter today, Cotto was his last payday.
