People think that GGG is a pressure fighter, he isn't. He cuts the ring off, but he is more of a middle of the ring, boxer=puncher than a head-on-the-chest Joe Frazier type. He doesn't smother his opponents he jabs a lot and goes upstairs and downstairs. Robinson beats him. GGG has all of the trouble in the world with a washed-up Kasim Ouma.

Boxing is the one sport where athletes (except heavyweights, too big now) were better in the 40's. Back then, boxing was the higest paying sport. Baseball, basketball and football players had offseason jobs to make ends meet, so the best athletes went into boxing.

Bad example. Fullmer was a slugger with little boxing skills.

GGG's boxing ability isn't anything to write home about.

And Fullmer would wreck GGG. Fact!

GGG wouldn't stop a complete faded, shot, over the hill, 44 year old Robinson.

GGG wouldn't stop a complete faded, shot, over the hill, 44 year old Robinson.

The only fighter who could do that is Floyd Mayweather. Deal with it

The heavies today are not as good as the heavies in the past.

There is no such thing as too big

Jess Willard..Louis Firpo..Primo Carnera threw more punches...could fight more rounds....moved foreward better..and were more durable than today's heavies.

Truth be told...today's heavyweight division best defines the decline in boxing more than any other.:deal

The greatest of all time deals with the unproven Golovkin very easily.

Aww Elroy......yes it would be a good contest. Golovkin would prove a formidable opponent. Robinson has faster hands, similar power, better reflexes, better defence, boxed over a 100 better opponents than GGG has faced. Robinson wins but in a good fight. He was superb as a welterwight but not unbeatable at middleweight.

A 5'8" same day weight in fighter would be a WW today.

He'll wreck Berto, May weather, not GGG.

    :rofl

    5'8 is not a weight it's a height.......fool.
Curtis Stevens is 5'7...is he a WW...????

Gene Fullmer would have GG shi.tting Gypsy tears:lol::hi:

If GG were fighting Fullmer instead of Ouma he'd be in IC right next to Absomolev.

GG gets het too much m'friend.

As if Martinez is an accurate gauge to judge if GG beats Robinson.

    Dude get real.

Golovkin would have whistling KO punches coming at him from angles he didn't know existed.

People don't call SRR the best ever for old-time sake...like you castefootballers like to believe.

GG puts all his weight on his front foot, and drops his punches to his waist....he'd be a sitting duck for everything Ray was great at.

GG had all he could handle with a washed-up Kassim Ouma.:hi:
Ouma was a Jr mw and totally featherfisted.
