I'm sure GGG wants to fight Peter Quullin , but looks like your boy quillin wants none of GGG.

Ward's camp and GGG's camp said they'd fight down the road.

Yeah, what's not right about him is he's run all the top MWs off and can't get them in the ring.

So, Sergio Mora would confirm GGG as the real deal for you? LOL, if he were fighting Mora, you'd be ripping GGG for fighting another can. Just admit it, prejudice will have you finding a way to slam GGG, no matter who he fights or what he does.

This is actually great news for Golovkin's haters. Flame the opponent prefight but crow like Hell if he actually wins and claim you knew it all along. Same way they approached the Stevens fight.

Still cannot believe Kirkland is taking this fight. It makes no sense for him at this stage. 154 is a pefect division for him and his style.

We're talking about being scared...so logically if a few jr middles are willing then surely there are some at 160 who would get in the ring. I actually like GGG and I think he is a better boxer than given credit for but to say that only smaller dudes are willing to fight him is ridiculous.

    Kirkland is a Jr MW.

He has zero fights at 160.

It's pretty simple really. Kirkland is a fool if he takes this fight. And so, which top middleweight is asking for the April 26 date? All they have to do is speak up and then they can claim that Golovkin is ducking them.

Besides diehard boxing fans nobody knows who GGG is. By the time he's built up into a name, he will have lost whatever prime he had coming. So we get a GGG vs Kirkland fight, woohoo I can barely contain myself...pppffftt....Kirkland who was knocked out in 1 round by Ishida, who was knocked cold by GGG in 3. Looks like GGG is going backwards instead of forward.

I seriously doubt Kirkland is going to take a fight with GGG as his first MW fight. Kirkland is trying to get his career back on track, not derail it getting KO'd. It's got to be Geale in April.

I mentioned Mora because he said he'd fight GG and is FAR better than the bum GG is fighting off TV in Monacco.

There are guys at 160 and 168 willing to fight him.

GG is no spring chicken he should not be wasting his time on guys like Adama.

I'm just relieved he's turned you into a good boy after all. I still remember when you were so delusional, you thought Stevens would win.

Still think Kid Chocolate takes him out, too? :rofl

i doubt it will be kirkland. i think it's just a negotiating ploy to get geale for less money.

Wow, kudos to James kirkland and GGG if they both take this fight. Especially GGG since he has more to lose. James kirkland will test GGG and force him on the back foot. He's like a kassim ouma with waaay more power but a not so sturdy chin. Make this fight happen, it's easily the toughest fight for GGG at middleweight.

Geale & team have been hinting hard that should Wood go as planned, they expect a big title fight. I think thats probably GGG... I do not see Sturm going for a tough fight for him right after winning belt back. Sturm wants Andy Lee or someone of that level.

So, I am really hoping it is Geale not Kirkland. I happen to agree that GGG has fought enough 154 pounders moving up recently, if he cant get a top 5 MW id at least prefer another 168 pounder moving down like Stevens who at least has the physical attributes of size and power to make it a fight.

Not that I blame K2 for taking a Kirkland fight, he at least is a known quantity and came in over 156 in his last fight so he is at least a MW struggling to make 154 not a 154 who will have a natural disadvantage moving to 160. But above all, its really HBO calling the shots.

I wont be too pleased about a Kirkland fight, but it really seems like its Hershman who wants to make that fight not K2. Though I do have to ask wtf Kirklands camp is thinking, he really should have another tune up fight and at 160. Even the haters have to think that GGG is a big step up from Tapia.

If Kirkland had a tune up fight to have an extra full camp with Wolfe, fill out to max 160, and beat up a top20 MW - then this fight would be legit. But as-is we can only hope Geale gets the nod. Maybe Kirkland will fight a MW bout on undercard, that would make a summer GGG-Kirkland fight a lot more legit.

Kirkland isnt even a top 10 jr middle. Why doesnt GGG fight Dirrell who has called him out? If he cant land a top guy at 160... he should go UP not down. Beating Kirkland does nothing for GGG.
