    Round 2

BIG TRIPLE RIGHT HAND AND LEFT HOOK BY GALARZA STEPPING OUT TO CENTER RING, THOMPSON STAGGERING WITH A SUSPENDED JAB HOVERING OUT IN MIDAIR AS HE TEETERS AND GOES DOWN AND OUT! Thompson pushes up into a slouching kneel, head drooping and both arms hung limp on the canvas, but gets no higher.

    KO2!!

    Checkin in boys.

    Looking forward to Galarza-Thompson.

The year's first involuntary face-plant...and it may be a little while before another comes along that's just as emphatic as this one was.

Is that you John Thompson? In case you don't remember, you just got KTFO.

    :good

After the 1st round they showed both their strategy interviews.

"People who punch rely more so on their power. They don't want to move or go anywhere. They want to stand there and punch. I just circle 'em, work off popping my jab, focus on my offense and defense at the same time. They just focus on landing that one big shot. What happens when that one big shot doesn't work?"

    - Thompson

"Early rounds, I want to say first round, we'll feel 'em out, see where he is at, I could probably if I wanted to even outbox him a little, we'll see, but then come the 2nd or 3rd round we're definitely going to cut off the distance, not give him space to move, don't let him breathe, just kind of break him apart..."

    - Galarza

    Then, :vonnecunt

This was a mild upset, during the intros Farhood definitely sounded higher on Thompson as more of a prospect and expected him to be the Douglas to Galarza's Davis.

He also came in with more ring experience, three inches of height and perhaps even more of reach, four years Galarza's junior, and was ranked higher coming in.
