There is time to adjust this fight into the 154 lbs limit.

At 154 lbs it will be a productive fight for both, if GGG wins he moves into 154 lbs the proper way. If Kirkland wins & he has a chance at 154 he gets a mega fight next :smoke

At 160 lbs if GGG wins, we will know he is a bully & that his team been lying to us  ... If GGG loses he got beat up by a 154 lbs chinny guy!

If Kirkland loses at 160 lbs his career hurt all over again, its very unlikely for him to win at 160

Why wouldn't they pick Kirkland? Kirkland is a name, HBO is pushing for the fight, and it's a fight that GGG has little chance of losing.

GGG is on the roll. Ward and Martinez want nothing of it.

Void refused to fight Golovkin at 154, Alvarez would not fight him, Martinez will not fight him, Quillin will not fight him and neither will Geale, Sturm, so he will just keep busy until his popularity gets high enough to get enough money so someone will fight him. Golovkin will fight anyone at 160, later he will probably move up, it all depends on how well he keeps making the weight........if Golovkin does fight Kirkland it will be interesting. The fight will give him even more exposure and perhaps a much bigger fight with the top middleweights, the other champions.................

Martinez is looking for a big payday before taking that fight and retiring, Murray openly turned down Golovkin and Sturm sure as hell won't take it. Who do you expect him to fight?

Kirkland is a MW who was able to move down to 154 and have his 2 most biggest fights at that weight. Had it not been for the Ishida loss, he'd likely be seen as the most feared man in the sport.

I find it odd that fighters switch and change between the 7lb difference of the 140, 147 and 154 divisions as a matter of routine, but the relatively smaller 6lb trip up to 160 is presented as an issue.

That said, I'm really hoping for the Geale fight - despite not having the US exposure he is the far more proven MW and an ex-titlist - he might cost a bit more for HBO but Golovkin needs some proper MW scalps.

And Ward? - This fight is a potential superfight, but both have explained that it'll be a far bigger fight down the line. As many people are fond of pointing out, Golovkin has yet to fully establish his credentials at the division below 'Dres yet.

Why not move to 154 lbs?

WTF we been hyping GGG, now we get this BS :huh

Does GGG want to fight Mayweather?

Didn't he say 154 is an option? When he will move down?

Beating Kirkland at 160 lbs proves nothing at all, beating up blown up guys is acceptable...as long we don't hear BS about moving down! or #2 ATG Abel Sanchez BS
