17 years floyds never been put down like lara did v angulo. Angulos such a basic type of fighter too. Laras been way overrated for his performance v trout who tried to be the aggressor but is useless at it...

No doubtin lara is very skilled but come on floyd don't even make 54..

I'm not claiming floyds the best ever though he hasn't had the opponents in his era to make that claim but by going unbeaten he'l always have the claim to say he could of beat anybody. At the end of day i don't know the stats but i can't imagine theres many people who'v fought as many current/former champs as he has.. or as many current HOF's as he has (including the guys who'l probably end up there... mosley cotto marquez etc...)

Floyd is a talent but not the best ever. It just shows that some fans lack historical perspective. If these same fans would have been around during JCC, Pea, Oscar or RJJ's undefeated runs then they probably would have been saying the same thing about them.

It's a shame that people say Klitschko is one of the best ever heavyweight boxers. :)) Mayweather defeated such opposition. Go Floyd!

there is still plenty of time to get the fight made in 2014 yet floyd expresses ZERO interest in making the fight happen PERIOD. quit using that old tired excuse. FLOYD SCRURRRRRED!

if Floyd wants to be talked about in the highest possible company then he needs to fight the best possible fighters
his resume is impressive, but without pac nobody can seriously compare him to the very best

Another **** thread. If Floyd would have got knocked down twice by Canelo then won on a stoppage you would have declared that floyd was exposed, he was always hiding a china chin etc. The fact you even comparing Lara to floyd shows your lack of knowledge and respect. What has Lara done in the professional game that make you think he deserves the same hype and respect as floyd. How many world championships has he won? How many times has he defended his title? How many quality opposition has he fought? How many weight classes has he been champ in.

Your thread is ******ed just like the author.

Isn't it funny before canelo fought Trout, everyone was saying Trout was the man at 154. Then Canelo beats Trout, now it's Canelo the man. Then mayweather beats Canelo now its Lara's the man. :patsch

i'm talking about if Floyd wants to be compared to the best ever
Floyd is the best boxer in the world, but 4 years ago manny was the best fighter in the world
this fight still holds water, but without it they both have a huge hole in their resumes
Floyd isn't a 154 fighter though, he's only fought blown up welters at that weight because he knows its his limit

People have there opinions. It's all subjective. There is no OFFICIAL GOAT list. And nobodies list would be the same anyway.

Yup, never challenged to the extremes in order to show his effectivity. There were lots of fighters along his prime that should have challenged him but the fights were not made and he is already retiring so the fans will soon judge after his time is done.

    And?

I wasn't there so it doesn't affect me at all. Floyd has done this before and it's unfortunate but all I can say is same ****, different day. He's still the best boxer of this era so the point of this thread is what exactly?
