In terms of pure talent and accomplishments over nearly a 20 year pro career, he is certainly in the conversation. He is one of the very best ever, right now. Where exactly he is ranked is subjective. There is no one fight at 147 or 154 that would significantly affect his status, right now, IMO. A jump to 160 to capture a lineal title would. But, he would have problems trying to make the weight.

I'll miss watching Floyd in the ring - but I think it's only once he retires that he'll be properly appreciated.

He's the outstanding boxer of his generation; a point which will become more and more clear and definitive as time goes on. No one really comes close to matching his technical abilities at the moment. And the '0' remains his USP.

As far as gaps on his record. I would have loved to have seen him in with Paul Williams which would have been tough for him. Margarito was never a threat; Floyd would have picked him apart. And ultimately I think calm rational analysis of the Pacquiao situation will see Floyd's original 50/50 offer judged to be reasonable and blame switch to Manny / Arum for negotiating on the drug testing issue which should have always been a non issue (if Manny was clean).

It will be good to debate his career / resume after he's finished and all the idiots who use terms like ***** and Void have ****ed off to find someone else to hate on.

Ridiculous to believe that in professional boxing, where losing is very big deal (and might ruin you in the process), you'd give that advance to your opponent by not using.

"I do everything to win" is not a clishee.

People don't respect Floyd as a person because he's a moron. As a fighter, he's very good but hasn't taken risky fights and was a big part of the reason the Pac fight never happened. He's undefeated but he's also not faced anyone he wasn't heavily favored to beat already. Fans don't respect a non courageous champion. Floyd has beaten some solid fighters but yet to face a great, prime fighter. And that is very sad and hard to respect. Pac really was his chance, nobody could have held anything against him if he took that fight win or lose but he opted to make silly demands that he had never made previously. He never wanted the challenge and still doesn't want it. I agree he beats Pac probably but something about Pac makes him nervous and he won't take that fight no matter that it gives him the most money and fan respect, he just won't do it. I can't respect that.

No one can challenge him? Excuse please, Pac is challenging him. People smell fear all over Floyd, because it is there.
