Thank you. Although he sounds enthusiastic about boxing, he's just not suited for the sport. Too many times he will be wrong about the action calling a straight right a left hook etc... I'm not fond of Berstein either tbf and they should bring Tarver back instead of Paulie. As biaised and irritating as Lampley can be, i don't mind him as much.
I remember that. He used to also swear up and down that Wladimir quit to Purrity when he clearly hadnt even seen the fight. Roy Jones is **** also though. HBO has sucked for a long time now.
I like Lampley, Roy jones and kellerman but I have to agree. Sometimes he's overlly biased. For example when Rigo fought Donaire he said they traded nuclear bombs. Still to this day it makes me cringe.
Well Rigo did send that laser guided missile right to the spot where Donaire was pointing to pre fight. If you look at their faces afterwards lots of nuclear explosions on Donaire's face. But yeah Donaire doing anything was a stretch by Max.
If they replaced Max Kellerman with someone who knows boxing and isn't biased, HBO commentary would be okay. It makes no sense to have Kellerman there, he's as useless as tits on a bull. Why not replace him with a former boxer or a boxing trainer?

Suck, no. Bias, of course. But they are entertaining. Lamps (the most bias of them all) is great play-by-play and their experts (Roy etc.) give good insight. On close competitive fights, though, I'd prefer another announcing team (or to hit the mute button).
