This type of response is so absurd. It's like saying prior to the Tyson-Ruddock fight "Tyson isn't going to beat Ruddock, he was beaten by Buster Douglas!"

Paul Williams only lost to southpaws. He was undefeated against orthodox fighters. Mayweather never faced anyone with reach as long as that of Williams, and he never faced anyone nearly as tall as Williams. I don't believe he faced anyone with as high an output as Williams either.

It pisses me off how Floyd can duck fighters and all his fans say "yeah, but he would have beaten them". Floyd obviously isn't so sure, otherwise he would have fought them.

It's actually 1 weight class since Floyd has fought 2 of his last 3 fights at light middle.
So his last fight was at 152, what the problem in him making a fight at 160 and weighing 155?
It's not like he's struggled against anyone at 154, in fact he dominated Canelo.

Floyd is not a middleweight, martinez never mentions ward, ggg, hopkins & he proposes to fight a lighter guy?

Floyd is an outstanding boxer. I havent watched as many of the fights from guys like SRR etc, so cant really say who is better than who. But it would be silly to say he isnt up there somewhere very near to the top of the mountain after having watched him box for so long.

Its just too easy to get concerned about things that go on outside of the ring these days. It can taint the way we view things that boxers do in that ring.

Knowing that slipping and bobbing/weaving is an art form that very few ever get to master, and yet Floyd does it against guys who have top level timing.

There will always be someone that comes along that people say is being ducked. Floyd could get to be fighting at 80, and people will find another hero they say would whoop floyds azz if only Floyd wasnt such a coward.

Its a shame we cant let things be what they are. We might even enjoy things for a change.:rasta

No, it's actually two weight classes above the one he should be fighting in naturally. He had to eat to weigh in at 150 for the last one, but yeah, I'd like to see him do it against Martinez for the lineal title... Been saying this for a while now as I don't see anyone below 160 being any sort of real challenge.

That being said, it isn't his fault that he doesn't have any legit comp at his own weight.

Nope you guys are idiots it doesn't matter if you got dropped twice it happens especially in a small ring like that lara was dominating most of the fight, what about mayweather cotto cotto had alot of successs there, lara has fought the best and has beaten everyone despite the corruption if you know boxing hes better than mayweather in alot of ways better footwork, better puncher he turns his shots over with his body unlike mayweather! hes also very smart, dont you see pro boxing is about politics protecting fighters like mayweather and promo

That's true. He's no Roy. He's got way more boxing skill than Jones ever had and isn't as gifted athletically. He also isn't getting KTFO at this stage in his career like Roy did.
