Brute has pretty much been exposed as a fighter who was overrated. Don't get me wrong, the guy is decent and fun to watch, but did he ever really stand a chance against Ward? Its clear Andre would have schooled him and was right when he said he needed to fight someone first. He was exposed by Wards leftovers and now Pascal has beaten rather soundly. Opinions?

i find bute the most irritating fight out there to watch. he looks nervous, awkward, sloppy, doesn't have much of a chin.... he fights like the amateurs you see at boxing gyms.

bute fighting ward... lol. i don't even like ward that much, but damn, that would be like premier league vs 4th division.

bute was a bigger hype job than broner.

    I think so...
At the time Bute was considered Wards biggest threat who had looked better against common opponents in general, had more confidence then, than he did last night, had that undefeated confidence also, was the bigger puncher, just as fast and Ward in my opinion seemed nervous of Bute and was in no rush to face him after the S6.
At that time not many were taking chances with Bute for fear of being KOd, so I think Ward would have been very wary when in the ring and Bute full of confidence of the win and apparently happy to go to Oakland I read on here.
Styles make fights. I think then Bute would have beaten Ward as Ward is not a massive puncher even though physically strong and would have landed enough to get to Ward.

Ward and Dan Goossen sure as hell didn't want anything to do with Bute.

While I disagree with the outcome you make some good points.

Bute matches up well against Ward, who lacks real KO power, and who has not fought a mobile fighter like Bute at the top level.

No, and Bute's fans are the only people who think he did. Ward clearly beat Froch, and Froch whipped Bute's ass.

The best H2H in 168 pound history...? Maybe he was the best to stay on his feet while unconscious??

Bute had better performances against Bika and Miranda than Ward did.
Bute beat Bika easier than Calzaghe did as well.
Dan Goossen must've seen something he didn't like because he was ready to pull Ward out of the Super6 if Bute had been added as a substitute.

Of course you should stay in your Canadian comfort zone and believe only what you want to believe... Bute has lost something he might never have had hmmm

Being a humble pretty face has never been a disadvantage, but lack of foul play is a losing tactic...
