At 135 Duran was an absolute beast. A magnificent monster. Pac had only one punch in his arsenal at that weight and that wouldn't get him past the hands of stone. Duran by knockout.

Im going to be unbias and say Duran. Too much power, and I have doubts about Pac's durability. No question that Duran hits harder than Marquez, and would EASILY be the most skilled and strongest fighter Pac has faced. Im really not sure he would be able to deal with that. Plus, Pac's inside game is pretty much non existent.

In my opinion, Duran by late stoppage. Maybe TKO 11

Duran by brutal and embarrassing highlight reel knockout in the second round. Pacquiao gets stretchered out of the arena with a full load in his pants and spends the rest of his days hooked up to a feeding tube. :yep

This isn't a Floyd thread. Duran and Pac, who wins? Just say Pac. You Pac fans don't have to get all butt hurt and mention Floyd in this thread. Just pick Pac.

Duran's power is being a bit overrated. He carried it throughout but many of his stoppages at lightweight are in the 14th round and he has trouble with movement like against viruet - PAC has movement galore. Duran is tougher, PAC is a more unorthodox aggression. Great fight but I think pac's speed and angles make it competitive.

Pac does well against arguello (as pryor did) and probably loses to Duran; styles make fights.

of course DURAN would win because he is from the past.these fantasy matchups are completely biased towards fighters from previous era's and that's FACT.

this fight would be 50/50 don't think i would favor either fighter on paper.

and the biggest problem is w don't know how pac would have done in LW 1970's and we don't know if duran would be champ in modern day.

it could be almost a missmatch in reality.duran could run over pac or vice versa.

but please stop favoring fighters from the past, yes they were tough and good but we got many modern greats who would find success in early days.
de la hoya, mosley, trininad, pacquiao, cotto, mayweather etc.. all are monsters and could have beaten duran,SRR,SRL etc.. sadly most people think that they would run trough modern fighters.

this site is completely biased towards great from the past.of course i love warriors from the past but i don't give them extrapoints because they were fighting long time ago.

Duran vs Pacquaio can honestly go either way or be comletely missmatch just don't give duran extrapoints from being legend from the past.skillwise they are pretty equal, this could be a war or as earlier said complete missmatch towards either fighter, both fighters have the ability to owerwhelm their opponents.could be brutal.

    Yikes.

Look mate it is true that some people can go overboard with their manlove of their fav past fighters.
But if a guy like Ricky Burns can be a LW champ are we really going to wonder if Duran could of?

I'll let that suggestion that Cotto would have a chance against those 3 go to the keeper cause he's my boy.
