This is beyond that offer. ....that 40 million offer Floyd knew Pac wouldn't have ever really accepted when Pac was equal to Floyd in terms of his status in boxing and as a draw. Now Floyd is perched atop the world of boxing and has all the money in the world. Pac has financial problems and he's the one who is willing to issue this kind of challenge to his nemesis. A man who is as desperate as Floyd likes to claim Manny is will have a hard time proving that true with this kind of challenge. We will see what kind of a man Floyd is and if he cares about his legacy because not fighting Manny will forever be what he is remembered for in this sport.

they couldve fought years ago but Floyd ducked him every which way he could, and honestly, it was smart on Floyds part because i see no other way he would retire undefeated. imo

Why wouldn't Pac accept 40 million? Are you saying Pac didn't have honour/legacy in mind back then, but he has honour/legacy in mind now? So all that fighting for the fans has been BS until now?

Floyd's claims Manny is desperate to fight him.....He's claiming Manny only wants to fight him now because of money. Pac challenging Floyd like this proves Floyd may have bumped his gums a little too soon.

Manny accepting a flat rate of $40 million before Floyd claimed Pac was financially desperate makes no sense. Floyd knew Pac wouldn't ever accept an offer like that and that's why he offered it.....knowing that Pac would feel disrespected and wouldn't have agreed. Times are different in 2014.

Floyd KNEW? Floyd has ESP!? If Manny was about legacy/honour he would have agreed to the same demands back then and donated his share to charity instead of the casinos. That would have been honorable. NO IFS, ANDS or BUTS! In fact, Pac should donate all his purse to charity against his next opponent. How about the typhoon victims? Let's see how much honour he has. I'll take any bet he won't.

Manny could have donated his 40mill to charity already . . . if manny wants to that go ahead . . . its not about the money right. Oh it was about the money when the 40 mill was offered. manny could have gotten 50-50 but walked away , but then demanded it when floyd called but now its not about the money . . .lol

And comes up with stupid ideas because he is broke! This is a man, who does adultery, prostitues, drinking, gambling, smoking, rooster figfhting & he is this righteous fellow? He was warned by visionquest about bob & koncz corrupt association, but this ass will sign a new contract?

Back then he could have both! He was the man in boxing.....He was popular on a global scale and he had room to beat his chest just like Floyd. Why anyone believed Floyd's offer of 40 million would've been accepted by Manny at that time is beyond me. It was a slap in the face.

Floyd's last fight is only a little over a year away......that window for this fight to happen now has a hard deadline and Pac is proving that he isn't all about money even though his situation would be one that would warrant it.

The world of boxing has been split on who is to blame with everything that has gone on in attempting to make this historic fight......Now we have no excuses. ...we just have the two men at the center of the argument. .......One man has issued an honorable challenge that everyone will benefit from....especially the charities who both Pac and Floyd choose to give their purses. Boxing benefits because the attention a fight like this generates is going to be massive. .......The charitable spin would only increase the interest and put boxing up on a pedestal when most of what we are used to as fans are the "black eyes" we always read about from the media.

"No, [he will not keep his money]. Money don't have no friends. Money will go with you and be with him in the morning, and go with her and him and might even get to my pocket. Money don't have no friends, because when people are rich their eyes see things that they don't really need...like Mayweather, and like Larry Holmes even. I had five Rolls Royces. I had 27 cars. I had a bus, a 49 seat bus for all of my friends to go to Atlantic City to come hang out and party. Did I need any of that? No."
