It would even bigger if it's PPV and Floyd gets money and Manny gets $0. The headlines would be DaPEDran is fighting for $0/legacy donating his $40 M to charity, while the greedy Mayweather is getting an estimated $150M. Imagine those HEADLINES! Bigger than your stupid scenario. Manny would be the hero of all the world!

Its going to be tough going broke when you are worth 170 million at the current moment and will average around 50 million a fight four more times. He also earns on the back end through his promotional outfit and appearance fees.

There is always a chance, but just because Holmes did it doesn't mean Floyd will.

It also seems Floyd has a better handle on his money rather than a Don King or Bob Arum floating around.

Holmes should have asked George to jump in the grill business. 300 million and counting.

Some are claiming Pac has esp......saying Floyd won't ever agree to doing something this honorable. I disagree. ....give Floyd a chance to prove that his detractors wrong.

"Back then" is not "now".......The fight didn't have an expiration date like it does now. The urgency is greater now vs back in 2009 when neither man was talking about their last fight.

just because the charity situation wasn't offered back in 2009 doesn't mean it's not honorable now. That makes no sense at all. At the end of the day the proceeds still are going to a very worthy cause and both men would benefit from their actions. .....win lose or draw. Not to mention all the positive outcomes for everyone involved, including this sport who has received too many "black eyes" over the years.

Pac has given a lot of his fortune away already. His people are poor and he's one of the financial giants in PI that donates his money consistently and on a very generous scale. Manny has given more money to the victims of the typhoon that hit his country last year than anyone else in his country. I'm sure he would do the same if Floyd steps up for this challenge.

Since when did Holmes become a CPA??

People who hate worse than those with no money, are those who had money and went broke. Facts.

His TMT entourage will be a huge money sink. When he stops paying for his friends, they will no longer be there. Fact.

Pac has given his fortune to casinos. EVERYONE knows this. If he cared about his people, he would have been paying taxes. The infrastructure platform which Pacquiao ran on as congressman, build roads, hospitals, etc would have benefited greatly from $50M in unpaid taxes.

If Manny doesn't donate his next fight to charity, he will look like a fool.

The fight could have happened a long time ago if Floyd did not get the itch to all the sudden want to "clean up boxing". Had he negotiated like he had 40 other times we wouldn't even be talking about this.

But since we are.....let's stay in the present. Let Floyd make that stance. that he wants to keep his money and Pac can give his money to charity. :yep it would be a great story but Floyd would be roasted by everyone.

Floyd had a hard enough time dealing with the negative criticism from fans and the media without this kind of situation. ...you think Floyd would really say "**** charity" when the world would be watching?

You right......it would be even bigger......but as stupid as Floyd has been. ....I don't think he is that stupid. He doesn't need the money. Manny does more than him and Pac is prepared to follow through with his challenge.

is Floyd willing to step to the plate and do the same?

Most people predict this including myself. Why post it? I cant remember the number but it's like 80-90% that any person who goes from rags to riches quickly (athletes, lottery winners, etc) end up being broke.

But since you did *******, the fact is a christian-bible-toting-supposed-do-gooder-buying-votes-congressman is ALREADY BROKE with millions in unpaid taxes. DaPEDran is a savior of ******* land and he's a HOLY FAIL ALREADY! At least Floyd still has a chance of keeping some of his money. In that regard, Pac has to be the stupidest athlete of all time.

Floyd would have to be a complete Fuccing idiot to blow all that money he's made and going to make. Not that it would surprise me if he did.

Regardless of Pac or Floyd giving fortunes away to their gambling.....at the end of the day this kind of act is honorable.

Giving up this kind of money to give boxing a fight it deserves. ....bringing a positive light to our sport and helping out those who are less fortunate is only a good thing where everyone wins.

Their flaws as men can be forgiven. ....The infidelities. ......gambling. ...even harming women and children. If they can do something as massive as this it will benefit so many people.

And boxing fans finally get to see the fight that has long eluded us

by the way......even if Pac paid his taxes most of that wouldn't have made the kind of difference that he has by standing outside for hours handing out bags full of money to the poorest of people in his hometown of General Santos City.

He should have paid his taxes and now he is paying the price but this challenge has nothing to do with his financial issues. It's completely separate now that he is agreeing to forfeit his to charity if Floyd is willing to do the same.
