I'm not saying his resume is bad or not good, just not as great as people make it out to be, hence overrated.

Have a think about it really. His resume is good but nothing special and gets a little blown out of proportion..

How much of this can be Froch's fault? It's not as if there was some big beast out there that he was avoiding to fight Bute, Pascal et al. He's fought the best available to him and apart from Ward he brought home the win. Might not have been pretty or convincing, but he got the win.

I know the Groves thing is leaving a bad taste for a lot of folks but let's not trash the man's whole career. Ward aside, Froch was the man at SMW.

I agree, it's not like he hasn't fought anyone in the division, perhaps a few results went his way, that's boxing....

Getting bored of all the rubbish on here tbh.

Well what your saying is that 99% of Supermiddle weights of the last 15 years have **** resumes? :think
Frochs resume is pretty impressive when you start looking at other fighters.. Just a thought.

THis.....you can pick holes in every fighters career the question I usually use is are they going into a fight with another decent fighter someone who has done something in the game is a 50/50 60/40 type of fight.

and in froch you can say yes nearly every time he's been the underdog at times early on- taylor abrham etc and hes had 2 controversial wins - so what that's boxing he's had another 30 clear cut wins over very good fighters

Some of the posters here must surely be borderline ******ed.

Any nunbnuts who tries to claim Froch doesn't have a good record needs to stop watching boxing and go back to watching something their limited IQ can understand like wrestling or something.

    :deal

the amount of bull**** in this thread is of the scale. if you dont like a fighter that's great but dont try and make up your own facts it doesn't work like that.

I think Bute. Lacy hadn't looked in any trouble in fights up to Calzaghe and was blowing people away.

But for some disgraceful hometown reffing Bute would've had a terrible loss against a journeyman in Andrade on his record even before he got monstered by Froch.

Bute's soft underbelly had already been totally exposed before Froch got to him, and if my back was against the wall I'd rather see Lacy by my side than Bute

Bute total hype job amazing to think he was clear favourite at the bookies to beat Froch.

Astonishing really. Yes Bute KO'd Andrade in the rematch but that told us nothing we didn't know about Bute being able to dispatch poor fighters. No top fighter gets into the state he did against a very average fighter first time round though; Andrade being a fighter Kessler had already swatted away without breaking sweat. So there were clear form lines to go on.

Not complaining though, Froch-Bute was an exceptionally good little earner!

Bute is similar to Lacy in that Froch completely ruined him. He wasny a hype job though. Most Brits picked Calzaghe to beat Lacy. Most Brits picked Bute to best Froch. People have short memories. Bute was expected to come over here and end Froch career. He smashes the fight out of him and he's not the same man since. He's gunshy and panics when a combination comes in. Pascal wasn't amazing last night but he's up there with the best light heavys in the world and he's done that since a loss to Froch so he has to get credit for that

i just dont understand this 'Froch ruined Bute'..... he didnt even knock him out , ! and that was Froch taking free shots at his face....if Bute was any good he would have trained hard(his conditioning is sh1t imo) and taken the rematch....

people should make their own opinions rather than listening to the likes of jim watt telling you such and such is P4P one of best in the world.

i admire Froch for what he has achieved but he certainly doesnt need any more people blowing smoke up his arse telling him he has beaten the best in the world when he has not.could you imagine what a Benn or Watson or Jones jr etc etc would have done with Bute?..

.i hope he gets another fight with Ward and Groves ,if he beats both of them i will bow down to Froch and his fans and say he goes down as one of the best of his era

Had heard rumours Bute was a tad soft under the gills prior to Andrade and when that happened it wasn't a surprise. I thought Bute may have a punch or 2 to get Froch's attention but there was no way he could've lasted that fight. I rarely recommend bets to friends/family but that was the one time I've advised people to lump on a bet big time.

Just couldn't understand how the market got that so wrong but when it does you gotta make hay! Bute had actually been fully exposed prior to Froch; Froch didnt ruin him like Calzaghe ruined Lacy. Lacy took that 12 round beating with not one ounce of quit in him unlike a rabbit-in-the-headlights Bute against Froch.
