So why didn't Floyd take the $45 million flat offer?

    http://www.badlefthook.com/2012/1/2...yd-45-million-flat-fee-next-fight-boxing-news

He still has not made more than $45m in any guarantee EVER. Floyd ducked the fight by not taking this offer.

Excuse is floyd greedy, also floyd has no losses and is undefeated and is the ppv king.

Pac is a guy who will fight floyd for free. pac is a guy who fights for the fans. Pac is the guy who does not care for material things. So what is pac excuse for not taking 40 mil the highest purse he would have ever got?

It's just a hypothetical but Floyd wasn't the bigger star ,just like Floyd is the bigger star than Manny and you know that Mayweather Pacquio will do big numbers ..

Sorry but 40mil fault with no PPV is an insult!

This would've been Floyd's highest guaranteed payday. Why didn't he take it? He clearly ducked the fight by not taking this offer. He has never made more than $45m in any guarantee EVER.

A lot of money was poured for this damage control. You can see a lot of unreasonable paid posters again defending their idol even to the point of idiocy. Keep repeating things just to discourage the other posters.

I just told you why. Because floyd is greedy. He don't call himself money for nothing. Now what is pac excuse for not accepting 40 mil?

I understand that Manny is a star in his own right who would debate that but turning down 40 mil no PPV to fight and lose for 20 mil with PPV is more foolish to me

The main difference is its on record that Mayweather has made over 40 mil quite a few times for fights its also on record that Pacquiao has never made 30+ mil for a fight before, I could be wrong feel free to correct me if I am but most reputable sources says those are facts, I mean **** as a fighter Mayweather just made 40 mil for Alvarez and almost 80 mil total for that fight that's like 3/4 Pacquiao fights combined. What's truly sad though is that this is all we are forced to talk about PPV's & money splits smh

So if your logic applies to Floyd, then you're admitting Pac ducked by not taking $40M RIGHT? After all it's the most he's ever made in any guarantee EVER. Now that we've established Pac was ducking, of course his team will say anything to save face like $45M, the hilarious I'll fight free ... HOLY FAIL again!

First kudos to you for actually trying to argue properly. I appreciate that. I apologize for calling you a *****.

Let`s set aside the drug testing issue here. Bottom line is both agreed to a drug test. The conditions are just different.

As for Pacquiao not making as much numbers as Mayweather? That must be a joke.

    Pacquiao:

May 2, 2009 Manny Pacquiao vs. Ricky Hatton The Battle of East and West 850,000 HBO
November 14, 2009 Manny Pacquiao vs. Miguel Cotto Firepower 1,250,000[136] HBO
March 13, 2010 Manny Pacquiao vs. Joshua Clottey The Event 660,000 HBO
November 13, 2010 Manny Pacquiao vs. Antonio Margarito The Eighth Wonder of the World 1,150,000[137] HBO
May 17, 2011 Manny Pacquiao vs. Shane Mosley The Undaunted 1,340,000[138] Showtime
November 8, 2011 Manny Pacquiao vs. Juan Manuel Marquez III The 25th Round Begins 1,400,000[139] HBO

    Mayweather:

September 19, 2009 Floyd Mayweather vs. Juan Manuel Márquez Number One/Numéro Uno 1,100,000[153] HBO
May 1, 2010 Floyd Mayweather vs. Shane Mosley Who R U Picking? 1,400,000[154] HBO
September 17, 2011 Floyd Mayweather vs. Victor Ortiz Star Power 1,250,000[155] HBO

NOTE: They are from wikipedia. I would question the sources but the numbers are pretty close from what I've read & heard.

The fight was highly talked about during 2009 - 2011. Now tell me again how Pacquiao did less than Mayweather? Keep in mind that Pacquiao fought relatively unknown boxer like Clottey and still drew that many fans to watch.

Haven't you heard of the saying "it takes two tango". Manny and Floyd need or needed each other to actually set that record of 3 mil views!!

I don't care about the money that they'll make since I won't get a piece. I just want to see these to great boxers fight each other.

He was outboxed by Mike Alvarado FFS. Khan would box circles around that clown. Stick to posting about Floyd's life outside the ring because you don't know **** about boxing and it shows.

You speak as if Alvarado won easily. You're forgetting Rios also KO'd Alvarado.

Are you braindead or what? I was applying the ***** logic. The floyd stans use the $40m offer as a reason that Pacquiao ducked the fight, but Floyd rejected a $45m offer. I'm amazed at your stupidity but not that surprising since you're mexican. Are you a high school dropout like Floyd too?

Rios - Alvarado, same B level. What does it matter? It doesn't entitle Pac to move ahead of the line for a Floyd fight. Other fighters are more deserving of shots---Lara, D Garcia, Maidana. Floyd is fighting his Rios next, then he'll fight one of those other fighters.

And I'll quote the late great Bert Sugar again because *******s are so predictable:

And I'm explaining to you how the ducking Pac was saving face by offering $45M! The pattern is there.

Sorry, high school dropouts say things like this and what I bolded in your quote
