Groves Appeals To IBF To Order a Froch Rematch

It's obvious that fight will happen once again further down the line though, especially when one picks up a world title.

Plus Groves has beat him both as an amateur and as a pro.

That result went to a close decision, I felt Groves one it. He was the one who threw more, landed more and also had Degale fighting his fight as he had the game plan of fighting off the back foot. Degale basically ran out of ideas.

Groves/Froch on the other hand, we had the legit ending taken away from us. That fight has "what if.." written all over it.

 

Groves/Froch is a fight the fans want to see, but I think Froch knows he lost that fight and appears to be afraid of Groves.................

Just had a look to see when he would find out the outcome, and its within 10 days from the appeal date of the 15th , so basically by Saturday we will know.

Even though realistically we know the outcome already-how id love to be wrong and see it awarded!

 

To be honest I think Groves should move on and if he gets a crack at Froch again then take it, if not don't worry about it. A majority of people will always think he won and he gained a lot of fans that night. If Froch loses his next fight or the one after it will be attributed to Groves taking him into deep water, if Froch has a good victory or two it bolsters the image of Groves to the boxing public.
Without seeing Froch box again at the moment I would have to say that a rematch would still be 50-50.

 

Growing up and acting like a man, not whining, showing some character, that sorta thing..

I've answered that in a post after this but and I've also said this before, it's not the first time it's happened and wont be the last.

We all agree (or most) that is was stopped too early and denied the fans a potential great finish to a great fight...

It's boxing...sometimes you have to swallow your pride be a man the bigger man....next time Groves might be on the good side of a bad decision?

 

it would be fking stupid for groves to move on, he should exhaust all options and avenues to get this rematch done.

To me it's clear that he knows he can beat Froch, with two belts on the line and an incredibly wide audience watching it it's the easiest, most lucrative, biggest way to raise his stock that he could ask for.

 

When do we find out?.

 

I dont think Froch needed to put the other belt on the line the IBF was manadatory...not sure if the WBA belt needed to be on the table..not sure though probably showing my lack of knowledge from not being a hardcore fan.
