Bute was a legit champion with good skills, so much so that Ward would not allow Bute to fight in his tournament, so even SOB Ward was afraid of him...........however, I would suggest that Bute have a couple more fights, if he is not back on track, then he should retire. Ward will fight him now after such a bad performance, but only in his home town, with his personal referee, boxing commission, commentators to tell you is winning the fight, etc. One thing I saw in Bute that was good was the last two rounds, if he had fought like that the entire fight he would have won..............

I assure you that Pascal took it easy on him in the 12 round to make the fight look more competitive.

Either Froch took his soul (Grimreaper)
Bute is weak against pressure fighters or when he is under pressure
He was just not as good as people wanted him to be.

    I think it's a combination of all 3

If he can grow his hair back, he can certainly come back stronger. no prob. I mean he was balding badly, it looked really nasty. And now he has hair again.

He shouldnt retire and get an easy fight or two and re-gain confidence.

There have always been fighters who crumbled after their first loss. Thing is, we don't remember most of them because they fade into obscurity.
