Forgot about that túche, but if he is fighting sub par competition what does the title he holds really means, at any given time there are atleast two legit champs in each division that are above the other titlist due to level of comp regardless of the circumstances he hasn't done enough yet two be in that category at MW

I'd agree if I thought the other champions would fight him. Part of the reason he is in this mess and it's taken so long is because Felix Sturm was ducking him for the longest time when he was his mando. I don't think Sturm has got any more cojones now and I can't see Quillin or Sergio taking him as a mando either. Sucks to be him...

He can only fight what is put in front of him. Unless of course he starts to assault people on the street and in their apartments when they're sleeping. HBO could probably do a feature on it.

Its well documented the top Mws don't want anything to do with him. They've all passed multiple times

Also you're totally wrong about no progress. 18 months ago he was a nobody, posting very low numbers for his first HBO fight. 15 months later he gets 3rd highest rating of the year, and wins Foty in Ring readers poll.

I could be out there ripping Deontay Wilder for much of what you criticize GGG for and you don't see me doing it. There is even more cause regarding Wilder. You are wrong. I don't see race in boxing at all.

Isn't this essentially who Deontay Wilder is?

Wilder gets ALL kinds of sh1t and nowhere near the praise Golovkin gets despite the fact that they've fought a similar level of opposition. An argument can be made, IMO, that Wilder has dispatched his opposition more easily than has Golovkin...

Yeah. Had Sturm not made an art of ducking him, GGG would have had the belt a year earlier, had HBO exposure earlier and had a respectable win on his resume years ago. He'd also be years further through the building process to get the ratings and money to draw bigger names, leading to more top names on his resume. As a result, he's older than he should be at this point in his career and the hype is an effort to build him quickly and get big names in the ring. Being one of the best amateur boxers in history send the big names with something to lose running. The only way to combat that is with money. The hype is needed to get the money, but people shouldn't confuse hype with lack of ability. The two are not always mutually exclusive, only sometimes.

Not from me. I understand the business side of boxing. Guys who are dangerous can't get fights without money, hype gets money. I can't fault teams for building up their fighters to attract big fights.

I will say GGG has more talent and had a more stellar amateur career, and has fought some tougher opposition, but Wilder has things going, too, and has some big fights ahead of him.

I am a serious analyst, that's all. GGG is a world apart from Margarito. If your analysis of boxers is this poor, you really need to change sports. You're not equipped to speak on the subject of boxing. Is jamie lannister your alt? If not, he's your doppelgänger. Both of you are equally moronic.

How is GG a world apart from Margarito?

Tony's resume is better but their styles are similar....everybody is supposed to scared to fight him....all the weight on the front foot....can't fight backing up...overrated as hell.

    Sounds like Tony to me...

Cut Margarito's nuts off and add a few pounds and there you have it...Gennedy Gonzalez:lol:
