Oldest person to regain the Lonsdale belt?

best i can come up with is dennis andries winning the british cruiser title at 41 having years earlier held the british light-heavy title

 

He was 31

 

crawford ashley was 33 / 34 second time..i think

 

Ryan Rhodes was the youngest to win it, but i think he is the boxer who has regained the title the furthest years apart?

 

Don't understand the question! The oldest to win a British title? the oldest to win a Lonsdale belt outright? Oldest to regain the British title? Or what?

 

Oldest to regain the British title, think Denis Andries is the leading contender. We have Dean francis at the moment who is 40 today and fighting Ajisafe for the title shortly.

 

Henry Cooper would have been 35/36ish when he won it for the last time against Jack Bodell. Danny Williams about the same last time he won it.

While he didn't regain his old light-welterweight title, Junior Witter won the welterweight British title in 2012 aged 38.

 

My first thought. And '41' was a best estimate, it might of been nearer 50...

Almost certain to be right and as others have said it could well have been 3 or 4 years older then his listed age of '41'.

 

Yes was a lot older than he admitted to!
