Since Martinez and Cotto aren't set to fight, if that fight falls apart I wouldn't mind seeing another match between Cotto and Mayweather in May (both do not have a match so why not fight again). Cotto supposedly was Mayweather's toughest opposition and Mayweather say's only reason it was close was because he was letting Cotto hit him to make it more fun for the fans. Just wonder at what weight this fight would take place at if they were to do it again.

Cotto either will take this or get knocked out. Cotto tried to out box the boxing master which wasn't the correct gameplan.

Hmmm. That's an interesting pitch. Would certainly make more sense and money for both Money and Cotto, and would be a bigger fight than Mayweather-Khan or even Martinez-Cotto, hell maybe more than those two combined. Miguel gave Floyd his toughest fight in years, still fairly one sided though. Pitch the Roach influence making a difference and you'd have something to sell.

Broner got his ass kicked by Maidana, Cotto was far from an ass kicking from Floyd

If Cotto-Martinez falls through, then Cotto needs another win to justify a rematch IMO. A belt wouldn't hurt either. Molina would make the most sense.

You'd be surprised at how many people would pay to see the rematch if Cotto can look impressive against a JMW beltholder. Remember that the guy is still a superstar and a huge draw.

This would still be a better fight than Khan-Mayweather.

No cotto got an ass kicking. Point blank period. Cotto got pummeled while landing fleeting shots. tired of the revisionists that try to say it was a close fight. It wasnt. People will buy anything but losing to trout and knocking out some nobody doesn't get you another crack at Floyd.

Would be better than Floyd vs. Khan...

But the only reason why I would see this as a great option would be if Cotto manages to beat Sergio and claim the MW lineal title.

Khan would be a tougher fight for floyd. Cotto was done at the eite level well before he met floyd. I'd rather Canelo fight floyd again. At least him and khan have upside.

Don't know if I would call it a pummeling but Money was the way stronger fighter in the later rounds.

Cotto put up a great fight and hit floyd with some good shots, until he tired in the rounds he needed to win.and in the last 3 he faded badly.

    Rematch will be epic....:deal
