Cotto vs Martinez fell through??? I'd prefer that over a Floyd rematch. I don't think Cotto would fare any better in a rematch. Floyd would likely move and box more, making it an easier fight. But, the starpower of both guys would still make it a big event.

I would rather see a cotto rematch than a khan fight - one of Floyd's grittiest performances. Khan will look stupid in there - cotto is three steps up from him technically even without the raw speed. And way less chinny ... And has the better resume ... And had a super close fight with trout.

Not sure if Pac would win a cotto rematch. They are both faded but Manny's punch resistance has faded more than Cotto's as far as we can see.

I thought the cotto fight was going to look like floyd Canelo wound up looking but I was pleasantly surprised that cotto could land his jab. An educated left hand actually finds floyd on occasion and opens up opportunities to score. Khan's attack is never educated;it's a raw speedy blitz.

The cotto fight was competitive but I always score it 9-3 or 8-4 floyd. The most telling punch that cotto landed was his jab... He didn't land that many clean power punches... I think people claim Floyd took more damage because of the bloody nose but a well placed jab is enough to do that

A Cotto rematch would be ok, ideally Cotto needs to win another fight or so to build some interest there but its way, way, way better than a Mayweather-Khan match.

I thought Cotto was somewhat competitive with Mayweather but I don't think he won more than 2-3 rounds. I still think he ends up fighgting Martinez and doesn't rematch Mayweather.

This fight would only make sense if Cotto beat Martinez at 160

This is why Arum is smart, if GBP made Cotto win the rematch would make sense

:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl I laughed and almost fell of my chair! You're forgetting that Mayweather doesn't wanna get hit, he's a self-proclaimed coward. He's afraid for his health. :deal

Cotto was landing because he can.

Cotto lost to Floyd already . Floyd was the better man .

Theres no need to see a rematch IMO .

Why would Cotto have to win ANOTHER match when Khan is a likely candidate yet he's done NOTHING. Don't just say following because Cotto has a following as well.

Hasn't fell through yet, but Martinez isn't making any moves yet in signing.

At this point there aren't really many challenges left for Floyd. I'll qualify that with "money making" challenges. Cotto, for some reason, still has a huge following and people think he's better now than he was when he fought Floyd. I call BS, but hey if people want to see Cotto lose, cry and whine ouf the ring in a tantrum, then so be it. Feel sorry for Freddy though, Cotto will blame him and change trainers.

I'm a fan of Floyd but I wouldn't call any of his recent wins "whooping someone's ass" out skilled, schooled, yes. But not "ass whoopings"
