This is the most refreshing post I've read in a while. It's the most logical answer.

He can't. Maidana is contractually obligated to fighting Broner next.

Maidana is giving Broner a rematch and if he beats him again then he'll probably fight Mayweather in September.

    Mayweather will surely avoid Khan.

Khan is too dangerous, style wise, to Floyd.

Too fast, too long arms, too much high workrate.

Just compare what they did with Zab Judah.

Mayweather struggled with Judah, and even got knoccked down!

Khan absolutely obliterated Judah, it wasn't even close.

Also, Khan dominated Maidana and won.

He's the stronger fighter, and THAT is the reason Floyd will duck him and pick the worthless, rude, unskilled and predictable Maidana.

I have a feeling it's going to be Maidana too. The postponement/cancellation of a rematch with Broner looks to me that Maidana is going for Mayweather more than his supposed "vacation". This vacation stuff is nonsense since Maidana openly stated he wanted to fight Mayweather rather than Broner. Still I wouldn't be surprised if it turns out to be Khan.

Didn't they openly announce the fight is canceled/postponed recently?. That said, I don't think Broner would mind allowing Mayweather to take the fight inside considering their friendship out of boxing.

I would actually prefer Khan over Maidana by a slight edge, mostly due to the fact I find him a good foreshadowing for what would happen with Pac. Speed, volume, good power, no footwork and chin not a problem is how I believe these fights are similar. If both were fights were to happen (Khan/Pac) I think the Khan fight would actually have proven to be the more competitive one, he doesn't stop throwing when outclassed ala Pac. I think the "superfight" has a good chance at turning out to be a joke with just Pac standing there, befuddled at what to do.
