All promoters are scum yes GB give us good fights but look at some of the Mayweather garbage fights they have made, GB also IMO only puts on the level of cards they do because they are competing with Arum if they had a total monopoly expect much worse cards. The situation is similar in the UK Arum is like FW and GB like Eddie Hearn for some reason people think Hearn and GB are honest and only want the best for fans. Their not Eddie is the same as FW or Arum as is GB all scum

Cold war sucks in some ways.. but is great in others. Good riddance on GBP from HBO, whoever said they are putting on good cards now because they are forced to compete was right on the money.

Heres to hoping HBO keeps finding people from the smaller promoters to fill the cards and rely less and less on TR. GBP will eventually have to start horsetrading with HBO, letting their fighters appear on other promoters cards on HBO in return for HBO affiliated fighters taking an occasional bout on SHO. It wont happen for a while though.

 

Bob Arum is no piece of sh*t. He has fighters that have sh*t for brains. As has been pointed out, he actually pays his fighters competitively if not better. Yeah he protects his fighters but people like Pacquiao, Donaire should be happy. Donaire would be nobody without Arum.

Don King, Arum, Jose Sulaiman...All 3 went to school around the same time (born few months apart)

Don King (Best Showdowns & Hype), He also hated paying his fighters :yep
Bob Arum (Best paydays for fighters), He was also Over protective/in house mentality


Jose Sulaiman was Don King partner for so long, they helped each other till the end & both worked with/against Bob Arum at times.

Bob Arum is not perfect, but he is good.

The greatness of the promoter is measured by how much his fighters make :deal

If a new promoter comes out & starts paying his fighters a million on Pro-Debuts, I encourage all fighters to sign up with him :good

 

Also its very easy to wipe out all BS promoters (at one point, there was lots of promoters...penny pinching fighters 7 those got wiped out/eliminated)

The easiest way to dominate boxing promotions is to pay fighters big paydays...Nothing else works

 

When Oscar became a promoter I thought he would be different, but now I know that he is not different....................I can't stand Oscar anymore..........

 

The problem with Oscar...He didn't have the mental stamina to fight 12 complete rounds, Oscar basically moved from Bob Arum lap to Schaefer...They both took care of him financially, but they did all the thinking for him...:think
