after broner got punked, right now, i think thurman is the most overhyped fighter.

he could may well be an elite in the making but i just don't see it....yet.

hopefully he gets a shot at floyd before he retires. he's been calling him out for a while. he's the real deal.

He'd better hope Floyd slows down considerably before that happens.

he's a much smarter fighter than he's getting credit for. floyd is great...don't get me wrong....but he is beatable. thurman has much better feet than anyone floyd has faced in quite some time.

he's the kind of fighter who, win or lose, whether he reaches the top or not, because of his backing, his skillset, his in-ring mentality and personality, it will be extremely fun to watch his career play out. he's DANGEROUS

I think he would KO Maidana. That undefeated Argentinean they paired him with before Soto Karass, seemed to have much more skill and more refinement than Maidana, and he was a banger as well. Thurman handled that test well.

Definitely. I would favor him over Porter and Broner.

Might be too much to ask from Dan Birmingham, but I would like to see Thurman develop some slickness or defense as well. He eats punches with his face a bit too much for my liking. So far, his opponents have been breaking before he does. His chin seems solid, taking bombs from Chaves, but I still recall him seeming hurt against Zaveck though. Maybe that was a freak thing, his defense could use some work. He seems to have all of the other tools to give Floyd some work, hopefully he develops it all the way.
