Cant wait to see Ortiz again. He's back:deal war baby on the 30!:deal http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kq8KuZqGLtQ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=je_CPEUGvh4
Ortiz is mediocre. Has some skill, god awful footwork, he is inconsistent with his will/heart. He will never be the next Golden Boy that Oscar wanted him to be. I feel bad for the kid because his sh*tty parents quit on him but he should be proud that he made his own way. Then he should get the mental counselling he obvoiusly needs to deal with the abandonment anger.
Ortiz sure got the Maidana vs Broner prediction wrong, he seems to hate Maidana it would seem. I like to watch Ortrees fight as he is entertaining but he is a little *****.
Most entertaining fighter of the last 6 or 7 years right here. Lets hope he got his brain fixed while his jaw was on the mend. I expect for him to have a somewhat easy night with Collazo... but after inactivity and injury that severe, that is only faith in him restoring to his old self.
Collazo has hung in there with similar talent so i wouldnt say it was a gimmie or anything but if Ortiz is at his best he should win.
Ortiz vs. Guerrero over the summer would be pretty epic (if they've got to give Robert one last fight at GB, might as well do this "two previous Floyd victim" route). Might not be worth it if Guerrero wins, GB loses big. But a W for Ortiz over Robert would be pretty damn big for his second after the layoff.... That would be my ideal somewhat-realistic-scenario.
I've been trying to think of who I would like to see Guerrero in with... if he stays with GB...maybe Danny or Lucas....if he somehow weasels out of GB then Marquez, who he called out before..or Rios. He ducked Thurman so that is off the table...actually Broner might be an ok scrap too. They had that chat outside the Dawson fight i think.
Faith would have him be better than this. I expect Victor to look slow, awkward and rusty. I think his will to fight left him in Hollywood. He will be gun shy and he will move much like a tree. Collazo is used up but he is not done completely. I would not be surprised if each fighter was down on the canvas in this fight. In the end Ortiz wins a decision as he rides his surfboard into a California sunset.
That's certainly possible, though it will obviously depend on how rusty Ortiz actually is and how much the jaw issue will affect his aggression. Collazo still has the skills to beat this guy, I just don't believe he has the pop or the workrate to earn Ortiz' respect. This will open the door for Ortiz to be the aggressor and outwork him en route to a decision victory.
