Mchunu is like the cruiserweight version of Rigondeaux

I disagree, though he is short for his division like hagler,tyson norris,qawi,roldan,to name a few,he is a strong and a real cruiserweight.this is more important to him in being able to "stand in the pocket with these massive dudes and just slug it out". they are taller, not more massive and stronger, big difference.if fact, "in the pocket" is exactly where he should be,he(in theory)would be more effective.long arms are usually less efficient in close,it is more a question of strength and technique.though after watching his last two fights he looks better on the outside (which proves his height is not a disadvantage)and missed big,wild shots (few he threw),on the inside,though he bulled around his opponents,so much for "the massive guys" you speak of.i feel with his style and punching power(but he should throw more on the inside) he will be a champ soon.

 

the thing ppl miss is that his character as a fighter is determined by the person he is. we see a short brickhouse that would appear like he's suited to bang away on the inside. that might not be in his mental make up. point is...he's doing what works for him...and it seems to be working just fine. we'll see what he's made of when he's forced into a situation where he has to change his style to win. same goes for rigondeaux that way. i hear ppl complain or say that he has no inside game. well he hasn't exactly been put in a situation where he needed to have an inside game to win. until then...if it ain't broke...don't fix it.
