Adonis Stevenson said he was willing to go down to 168 for Ward, and fight him in Oakland.

Despite being offered all the advantages, for some reason Ward refused to fight Adonis.

    I wonder why?

Because he would get as much credit for beating Stevenson at 168 as he did for Dawson at 168..

Was a serious, official offer ever tabled for this fight?

Like when Froch and Kessler were mentioned rematching Ward, Ward said "OK then, don't just talk, come to the negotiation table and we'll see what we can do" and it all went quiet.

Ward spent most of 2013 in rehabilitation from shoulder surgery.

The difference between Dawson and Stevenson is that Stevenson is a 168 fighter and he moved to 175 when he had an opportunity to get a belt.

Is could fight Froch or Ward at 168 and knock them out cold.

:huh even though Adonis has not long moved to Lightheavy from the 168 division?

i'm sure he can still make weight.

but no, it's not that. he's scared of getting knocked out cold. this is a man remember that is in need of a big fight. Adonis fits the bill after the year he's just had.

plus, it isn't the money side of things that Ward has as an excuse considering HBO are big on Stevenson, as well as selling out when he fights.

it's clear. Ward is a chump who's ducked before. :deal

Adonis Stevenson can move down to 168 & wait in line or STFU

Andre Ward wants to become the Undisputed GOAT of 168, history in the making...Adonis is #2 Bad guy in his division & 1 out of 4 title holders, he needs to find his place in 175 first, or just shrink down to 168 & recieve judgement from the Andre Ward Godson :smoke

Ward never gave a reply when Adonis issued the challenge, he just out and out ignored it.

he wants nothing to do with Stevenson. Ward has made that clear to the media. the same goes for Kovalev. and this from a man who's desperate for a big money fight.

    clear duck.
