Stevenson has plenty in front of him to keep his focus on instead of a boggle eyed ducker who wants nothing to do with him. Adonis is flying right now. no need to stall your career for a nobody like Andre Ward.

 

i never said he was. just making my point that these so called "experts" aren't the masters that some make them out to be. they're anything but.

 

Saying a fighter won't get credit for a win is a not a legitimate excuse. Boxers, like everyone else, are paid for their services in cash, not credit. If a bricklayer refused to build a wall because he thinks he wouldn't get any credit for it people would think him an idiot.

Besides, people who strongly dislike a fighter will always find a way to discredit his victory, if not on the basis of weight then on something else (i.e, that fighter was simply a "hypejob", or was "tailor-made" for him). This is, unfortunately, just part of the sport and happens to all fighters. The perceptions of others is outside your control.

If a fighter is willing to make weight in the division in which you hold a title and constitutes you biggest threat then you ought to fight him.
