Name your choice of contender most likely to beat Wlad, not fantasy matchup but actual matchup likely to occur before Wlad retires. Personally, I think its more likely than not that he won't lose again, but if he does, my bet is Chris Arreola. First, while its possible he may try for Joe Louis's record, his schedule is quite slow for that ambition so I don't think Wlad will stay more than a couple more years, long enough to unify the belts then call it quits. Therefore, we're probably looking at the current crop of contenders. Pulev is a top guy, but is a poor man's Wlad without great power and the only way he wins is if Wlad drops off a cliff. Leapai isn't good enough. If Fury has more of a chin than he's shown to this point its possible, considering his size and workrate, and arguably sufficient power, but I doubt it. Adamek, Solis, most other top contenders lack the power and size to do it. Stiverne has the power, but is shortish and more a boxer than pressure guy which I think is the bigger vulnerability for Wlad. Stiverne would probably be the 2nd most likely, though. Arreola has an iron chin, high output, intense pressure, great power, average height. He'd be one of Wlad's toughest matchups in his career, and Wlad would probably be an old 38 or young 39 by the time it would happen. I think Wlad has shown some signs of decline and by then, while Wlad would still probably win, an upset would very much be a possibility.

After watching the Povetkin "fight" I would honestly make a strong arguement that Pulev, Stiverne, Chisora, Fury and Solis beat him, he's just not rough enough, could you imagine an inside fighter like Fury or Chisora up close like Povetkin was, Povetkin is a good boxer but prefers to be at mid range, he's too small to do enough damage.

If Solis and Chisora could slip Vitali's jab, why couldn't they slip the predictable Wlad jab? He won't be able to grab a real sized heavy like he did Povetkin.

    Age.

He's clearly one or two classes above his best contenders atm, but he's on already a little on the slide so that might do the trick in a couple of years.

His handspeed is not as it use to be and to me he looks like he's past prime, but I'd still put my money on Wlad to beat anybody and guys like fury, perez, arreola, stiverne, pulev just don't look good enough to beat even past prime Wlad.

It won't be an inside fighter, wlad is too experienced at tying them up, and it won't necessarily be the best contender out there that beats him. Pulev is far better than wilder, fury and price etc but I give them a better chance against wlad just because they have a long reach and the power which could allow them to land a few big rights from distance.

Haye, about 5 % chance. Strong puncher basically, because you can hardly out point Wladimir with his jab and evasiveness. Wilder, if he actually could box. To outpoint him you would need some ridiculous output and constant pressure, maybe even gas him out on the way. Fury comes to mind, though I don't think his chin will hold up.

Have him fight without a corrupt referee who won't allow him to hold on like some octopus, and we might actually see it happen.

Wlad was given strict instructions not to box Povetkin because if he did he would lose. Wlad is overrated. It doesn't take a great fighter to turn him over.

Pulev, Wilder, Fury, Chisora, Stervine all have a good chance.

Can you explain how he's going to tie up Fury or Chisora for example, if 210 lbs Eddie Chambers could break out of his clinch, whats going to happen when a large heavy with an inside game gets clinched...

    Watch Peter I or Sanders...

I think Chisora has a chance, albeit a slim one. He is a no nonsense fighter and would have a few remedies for Wlad tying him.
