Groves is a smart Kid. He will have the IBF belt whether he fights Froch for it or not. Bet Froch just wishes he started talks immediately for the rematch instead of fcuking around telling ppl he 'won' the fight fair and square. lol
that's exactly the point , he will get the belt even if he has to fight the No2 gonzalez but if he is so confident of beating froch why not get the belt that way and earn big money in the process instead of earning F**K all. personally im not sure groves is as confident of beating froch as he says, imagine if he loses the rematch after all his crying he will look stupid.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GLsCR2RMBak paddy his coach stated yesterday he aint chasing the pay day he is chasing the rematch :think so whats this latest appeal about then or am i missing some thing :huh as the video states , just keep digging just keep digging and mandatory is top three which groves aint anymore
Your'e jumping the gun! Groves isn't not accepting 15%, he has just appealed to the IBF because he feels him being mandatory he should get a bigger cut than 15%. Groves wants the fight to go ahead, but he would like to get 25%. At the end of the day the IBF have ordered the rematch and if the IBF say Groves is to get 25% then he is entitled to it. Froch will still stand to make a lot more money than Groves and he will definitely make more money fighting Groves than he would fighting Chavez Jnr. Hearn has said it himself Froch doesn't want to give Groves a good deal (i don't know why), at the same time Hearn doesn't want it to go to purse bids because he will likely be outbid. So yes there's a possibility the fight might not happen, but it will be because of Froch/Hearn not getting it their own way.
No I wouldn't give 85% or 75% of millions up. Unless the come to an agreement, i cant see the fight going through if it goes to purse bids.
I don't think Georgie boy is actually as confident about beating Froch as he's trying to make out. His constant whining and crying stinks of insecurity and self doubt. He may be quicker and more technically gifted than Froch, but he wont have the advantage of fighting an overconfident, sloppy Froch in the rematch. The element of surprise has gone now, Froch knows exactly what will be in front of him next time. Dropping Froch heavily in the first round gave Groves a massive advantage, but he lacked the discipline to finish the job. The ref robbed both fighters with the **** stoppage, but Groves was tiring and starting to eat shots he'd been avoiding in the first 6 rounds.
