Martinez via Brutal Ass Beating. Bad fight for Cotto. Very bad fight.

Mayweather could still make 140lbs, even 135 with a deep cut probably. cotto was struggling to make 147. What does one have anything to do with the other? :huh

Dd you just call me an idiot and then claim Cotto is only taking the Martinez fight with the belief he'll have an injured knee on the night.

Then also claim if he gets his ass kicked he can do down to 154 and get a PPV fight with Canelo just like the one he had against DR when coming off a loss:patsch:nut

Unless Sergio's body has completely given out on him then he should win this. Both guys have good skills but Sergio is just too big for Cotto who is smaller than most decent sized guys at 154 (look how he compared sixe-wise with Trout). Cotto will go in motivated and with belief but it just won't be enough in my opinion.

No way Mayweather can make 135, he could probably drain to 140 but not 135. He's grown into a decent sized WW now despite the myth that he's small for the weight.

Winnable fight for cotto...Martinez is a slightly larger version of Carlos Quintana except with more pop. If a brain dead Chavez can eventually cut off the ring then cotto can surely do it in half the time while controlling the pace with an educated jab. Sergio has all the tools needed to win this fight but if he doesn't use them to there full potential and cotto feels he can attack freely it could end up being an interesting fight.

Cotto is going to get destroyed, I don't see the point of this fight. From a financial aspect it makes sense, but that's the only way this fight makes sense.

It would never happen. Cotto would never agree to fight GGG. I'd be surprised if Cotto even tried to defend the MW belt, but a Cotto win could drag out GGG's quest for the lineal MW crown. However, if Martinez is still close to being Martinez, I can't see Cotto winning.
