Depends. If I were confident I were going to give him a hiding and end his career I wouldn't care one bit.

Basically if this was an easy fight for Groves which his fans want us to think then why not take the 15% beat Froch then go on to earn millions.

Or the reality he knows is going to go into another war and doesnt fancy it

froch is winding down anyways and fighting to enrich him to an exorbitant amount while you are getting shafted can't feel good, he should push the negotiations as far as he can and he must feel that he can probably get more than 15%

its dawned on him that he is going to look a total tit if froch hammers him which could quite easily happen.

He should be grateful if froch hadn't agreed to fight him in the first place he would of been worth 500,000 less than he is today and he would still be fighting b level opponents on other peoples main events for crap money. Do you think the reason he doesn't have a promoter is because he is impossible to work with?

Depends what Booth's role still is...he's still his manager, if I'm correct?

i thought so to but apparently not .
groves as apparently bought him out of the contract or so im lead to believe , if not 15% of waht ever minus the dark lords 50% of the 15% and his new coach's fee probably 10% :think think 12 hard brutal rounds probably , to come out with what especially when it could mean back to back losses :think

Yeah, 15% is pretty poor really considering his effort in the first and the demand for the fight, even with trainer cuts and such taken into account...
It may see him going for another title route and the fight being better financially for him after he wins a belt, and then meeting Froch in a unification. Whether that be by purse bids, or whatever reason.
Groves would beat any of the other champs other than Ward, and time is on Groves' side rather than Froch's.
They should just offer him 25%, no dodgy contract, and get on with it...

Wrong. It's only 15% if it goes to purse bids. They are currently still negotiating.

GG is already calling the shots. He has put Froch where he doesn't want to be. I still think Froch will vacate in order to duck Groves.

IBF are meeting today to decide if they will alter the 15% split in this instance. It is within their rules to do so.

Nice one, my concern was this could take us past the agreed date timescales which would give Froch the chance to fight Chavez instead.

Hope he gets a better split though i wonder what the case was for it as if it goes to purse bids he might get quite a lot with 15% anyway
