This fight could've only been made if people starting boxing over Skype. Even in a "what-if" scenario I can't pretend either dude's packing their bags and breaking in the passport.

Get real. Ottke was a European bum. A latter day Felix Stromm who only faced and defeated other Euro-bums just like Stromm and Calzaghe.

And who knows "sh*t" about boxing, you?

Sven Ottke wasn't better than Andre Ward. However, he wasn't easy to hit and he had a good defense. If they fought in Germany, Andre would have to knock him out in order to win. I don't think that he'd be capable of doing that, therefore the judges would give almost every round to Ottke and Ward would lose. Anyway, assuming the judges and the ref are fair, Andre Ward would likely win a comfortable points decision.

Not an easy task since Ottke hasn't been dropped once in 34 fights as pro :deal

SVEN Ottke was a hard number, at the time he held the IBF it was considered the legit belt in comparison to then fringe WBO that Calzaghe held, they both defended 21 times, starting at 1998 & looked at each other for 7 years. Ottke left with Calzaghe legacy and a big question.

Sven Ottke most impressive win was his stoppage of Undefeated Anthony Mundine, Ottke power was underrated...he mainly used it to enforce a boxing lesson rather than risk a slugfest. IMO he was technichally superior to Calzaghe...In Germany he has to be the favorite vs ANdre Ward

I favor Andre Ward over Calzaghe in Wales or wherever, mainly because of Andre Ward capability to reduce Joe work rate. In Germany vs Ottke the ref will not allow Ward to use his close range tactics which will lead to DQ or UD victory to Sven Ottke
