A physically gifted fighter, but a mental midget. He has lost every big fight he's been in with the exception of the Berto fight. But then again, who hasn't beaten that hypejob Berto? This clown is one of the most overrated fighters in boxing. He got his ass handed to him by Maidana. Barely made it out with a draw against Peterson. Got his face broken by Lopez, who is pretty irrelevant right now. And he basically self-destructed in his fight with Floyd. People want to match him with guys like Thurman, Angulo and Alvarez and think he's got a chance? What a joke. He'd either get KO'ed or quit against any of those fighters.
i hope collazo is ready!!! because if he is he can pull it off. styles make fight i kno but if collazo comes in ready to go collazo competed with berto ...beat him imo and so did ortiz so i think its gunna be a competitive fight i just hope collazo is motivated
How did over 1 million people buy that crappy Mayweather/ Ortiz fight???? Laughable that Mayweather fans think they are so smart. Ortiz was being hyped as the next Oscar, then he implodes against Maidana and is called a quitter, then he beats on some C level comp, arguably loses to Lamont, then eeks by Berto (in a great fight) but berto had never even fought B level comp, Suddenly Ortiz with 1 win at WW against a guy who was really exposed oddly enough by Collazo is some dream match up.
I have to agree to that, and now we have Void/Khan, or rather Con..........I am not stupid enough to pay for such a fight..........I would pay for Void/Pac, Void/Martinez, Void/Golovkin, Void/Lara
He had a strong courageous life story behind him which made hyping him and introducing him to the public easier.
He's always in exciting fights. Slugfest KO loss to Maidana, comeback wins over highly faded Campbell and Harris, the draw he deserved the nod in over Lamont Peterson, big FOTY-caliber W over the #3 WW at the time in WW, dramatic albeit brief fight with Floyd, and the good action fight upset loss to Josesito... He has had a noteworthy and fun to follow career.
of course he fought pedweather he became young, hungry, lion by beating berto lmao. had he fought pac, he would have been, bloated ww, damaged goods, quitter who beat a hype-job.
He's a great fighter, but I do wish he would be a little more humble and quiet. His personality turns off a lot of fans, despite being fantastic to watch in the ring.
