They're massive stars. Clearly they do.

They are the only two who had a bigger audience than GGG in 2013 though in a non PPV HBO event and you know this. 3rd biggest non ppv event of the year is hardly ****.

GGG-Stevenson had higher viewing numbers than Broner-Maidana ffs. He clearly is drawing well.

Give him another year and hopefully he'll be doing even better. (If he fights someone with a pulse that is :D)

I agree that they need to shut the **** up about those comparisons. I do believe his power is crazy but for me, it's more about his other subtleties and footwork that I admire. I don't really think he's avoiding Andre though. The MW title is a prestigious one and I can understand him holding out for that (whether or not it's actually going to happen is annoying). You can't say it's bull**** that people are avoiding Golovkin then go right around and say he's avoiding Ward. When/if he fights him, he wants it to be on more equal terms, just like how fighters aren't fighting GGG because the money isn't right- which is why I think K2 is holding him back. If he were to fight Andre soon and lose, that isn't a big step back. Losing to the P4P #2 fighter in the world a weight class above you isn't a career breaker (holding aside the 154-68 talk) Regardless, I do think he's the real deal, but I can understand why doubters are hesitant. His fanboys need to calm down too.

If GGG is such a huge star, explain why HBO is refusing to televise his next fight with Odumu (Is that his name?)

    :patsch

And yes GGG does have to step it up, Quillin/Ward/Geale have called him out as well.

    Good post!

Some of his fans are truly delusional and operate on a double standard when it comes to GGG and that's why it's so sickening.

He's beating low quality opponents and he's suddenly MARVIN HAGLER. :nut

Because it's such a garbage fight. I'm not saying it isn't. I hope HBO can pressurize GGG into some better fight and refusing this one was good by them imo.

GGG-Stevenson was the 3rd biggest televised non ppv draw of the year. Thats a fact. Sure he was beaten out by two huge stars in Cotto and JCC Jr, but so what?

Don't pretend he has **** viewing figures because he did bad when he was virtually unknown over a year ago. **** changes.

MVC had another bad day ! Most probably he was bullied again at school, so he came on ESB starting to spread his anger.

i heard the golovkin-adama fight will be shown in roughly 200 countries. the number of viewers will be massive and so will the April fight at MSG, regardless who he fights.

He'd have a good chance against Froch ,but imo that's 60/40 fight in favor of Froch and 25/75 in favor of Ward.

Ward basically says he's no interest in the foreseeable future in fighting Bernard Hopkins, Gennady Golovkin, Adonis Stevenson and Sergey Kovalev."

Macklin echoes much of my analysis of GGG. Distance, balance, timing, and footwork really are some of his strong suites. Most people get stuck on his power, but overlook some of these things. And, man, the technique on that Macklin KO body shot. It's like a perfect golf swing. The grounding of the foot, hip to shoulder rotation in perfect succession right through the arm... It's a thing of beauty. I have over 20 years in martial arts and I wish I had such a flawless transfer of energy from feet to hands.

Macklin is correct, though, I think Wards style would give him fits and I'd pick Ward to win. I can't wait to see him in with some real challenges this year.
