    Round 2

Gomez is bending forward and letting Arnett brush the top of his head with jabs and 1-2s. Gomez makes a strong move inside and slams big left hooks into Arnett's sides, from neck to ribcage. Arnett is backed into the ropes. Gomez is stalking and leaning to his right, measuring distance with a pantomime jab. Arnett is swinging his left arm by his thigh, circling away from the ropes and keeping the right fist holstered under his chin, ready to lead with it, making sure Gomez can see it as his insurance policy to get clear to center ring. Gomez dives in and Arnett tries a check hook but misses as Gomez sails in too low, making Arnett reach down and come out of position awkwardly.

    10-9 Gomez

    20-18 Gomez

    Round 3

Gomez is moving in, knees bent and head fixed in place, hooking the body. Arnett is backing out to leave plenty of room for his jab to unfurl, keeping Gomez at the end of it and then hooking off it when Gomez charges in with his chin lowered. Body shots diving in by Gomez, with Arnett countering off the ropes and pivoting with his right arm glued up at his throat.

10-9 Arnett, nice outside work as Gomez looked for one big punch.

    29-28 Gomez

    my corner instructions to arnette:

what the **** man, wake up!

double jab right hand followed by the left hook, the hook is gonna be there - hes leaning . double jab right hand follwed by the left hook then come again with the double jab right hand follwoed by the left hook,

bang the body too son, when he goes downstairs make him pay! short punches when he throws that bull**** to your body.

the key is to mix it up son. you cant always let him take the lead. your giving him confidence. your better than this muddafuka you hear me!

    2 - 1 Gomez.

Gomez just needs to get inside and he has this fight. All his punches seems to affect Arnett.

Arnett, to me, is the one who needs to up his output. Throw more jabs followed up by staright rights to keep Gomez at a distance. If he doesn't he's going to get KOed when Gomez gets inside.

    Round 4

Gomez is changing directions as he spirals in on Arnett, stuffing in the left jab. Arnett is waiting on him, turning and popping up his left shoulder to meet and cover his jaw, countering with pitchfork jabs. Gomez is jumping in with right hands over the top and double left hooks upstairs. Arnett is shrimping away, placing his gloves on either side of Gomez and turning him aside. 1-2 by Arnett, blocked. Left hook downstairs by Gomez. Arnett is waiting outside, poking jabs on the body. Leaping left hook by Gomez. Arnett falls in with another 1-2 but Gomez slides his feet back and is too far away to counter as Arnett is left open with legs splayed. End of round.

    10-9 Gomez

    39-37 Gomez

    Round 5

Double jab, HARD right hand by Gomez, drilling Arnett into the ropes. Hooks to the body by Gomez, bracing with a glove on Arnett's hip and stepping around him to hook some more. Arnett drapes a 1-2 over Gomez's nape and leans on him, starting to hold when Gomez pounds his sides with hooks. The ref brings them in for a summit, telling both to watch their heads on the inside. 1-2 by Arnett, jab caught on the right glove in a pick-off and cross missing as Gomez steps back. Body shots traded in the pocket down the stretch.

    10-9 Gomez

    49-46 Gomez

49-47 Gomez. Called the third round even. Gomez seems able to work up and down and is better at dictating the range and tempo at present.

No. That was an oft repeated myth, that he was "doing well" until that point. :-(

He was getting schooled badly, every minute of every round.

They were all 10-9 Mayweather, not one even approaching 10-10.

People got hoodwinked by Ortiz rushing Mayweather into the ropes with his wide hooks, somehow now realizing that Mayweather lets every aggressive opponent do that and rarely ever gets touched. (as he barely did by Ortiz in any of those sequences). That is Mayweather's office.
