it ain't a big fight. that's the least likely fight to happen. no way in hell that fight happens.

 

People are getting carried away.

I also thought Luis should have got the decision against Hatton all those years ago in that crooked fight in Boston (who ever heard of a fight in Boston?).

But Luis is not the same guy as back then, and Ortiz looked like compete **** tonight. Let's see one more fight against a competitive opponent before we start saying Luis is a contender. I respect him, but still think he is on the downside of his career. I'd be happy to see him get a nice payday, and I know a lot of people love him in NY boxing circles, but really, I think this fight was a fluke. It was fookin Ortiz for god's sake. Ortiz is an accident waiting to happen in every fight.

 

Collazo deserves a big payday. He has been cheated by criminal judges for years now.............

 

He is fine. He's had labrum tears in both shoulders in recent years, broken thumb in the Mosley fight, promotional issues because he was with King. Tonight he was given a 2nd chance. His highly contested fights against Hatton and Berto proved he belongs. He's just had some bad luck. Tonight he showed what he can do. Nobody is saying he's the next great thing in boxing, but he's always been a talented boxer.

 

Ask Mike Tyson about Don King................ask a lot of boxers..............

 

That's reasonable. I wish him well. But he is 32 and, judging by his body, appears to not be roiding. People are mentioning Thurman, Maidana, Matthysse. I would love to be wrong, but I would not put him in with those guys.

He would be in everyone of those fights. Collazo has a proven beard and is a slick boxing southpaw. He has been around long enough that all three fighters you mentioned would not bring anything he has not already seen.

Collazo deserves a shot back in Brooklyn as about 9,000 fans were there last night.He is an honest blue collar performer who wont cheat his fan base and off last nights wins deserves a pay day against a top contender.He may not win but will give you 100% effort.:thumbsup

He just beat Victor Ortiz, coming off two losses and two years of rust, on the main event of a Fox Sports 1 card on Thursday night. That hardly vaulted him back into the very upper echelon of the boxing spotlight or set him up for a headlining spot on HBO WCB, now, did it?

Abregu is for damn sure a bigger fight than Collazo's last six between Ortiz and Berto. He is also better than Ortiz and, like Collazo, deserving of a big name, but not too big. They fit each others' need perfectly and the match-up is as 'big' as either of them needs to be in right now to springboard to whatever is next.

Just because he called out Mayweather, he is automatically going to be involved in something you consider "big" directly off this performance?
