and de la hoys shouldn't match a banger with a world class awkward counter punching southpaw? still love to see Ortiz fight other in your face type fighters.
Ortiz may love the sport of boxing. He shows heart and a will to step in the ring and fight, but their are limitations to that. He doesn't have what it takes to succeed at the highest level. He does not display the confidence or desire to overcome adversity. I thought he could have gotten up last night, the Mayweather fight and certainly against Maidana. When the going gets tough, Ortiz does not.
He was matched fine. It was sink or swim time for ortiz against a vet on the slide and he sunk. Had he fought an in your face fighter and got ko'd people would be talking about how he shouldn't have faced an aggressive fighter so early in his comeback.
Vic jumped in with his chin up high. His trainer is poor and so is Vics boxing knowledge. Two back to back T/KO losses and you are still this reckless? Gtfo. He is done mentally aswell. The moment he got dropped he froze in fear or whatnot. KO losses are though and he just couldn't handle it. Vic is done but not because of his poor ring ability or weak mental state. He is done because he is a delusional ****wit who wont for a minute accept and accnowledge his own faults. "I got caught". ??? How many times can that happen? That was the fourth KO loss that he is writing off as a fluke.
We were about 10 rows back and could clearly see Ortiz on his knees when he got counted out.It appeared to us that he could have got up if he so desired but decided to say fuk this!We went home happy last night-a good start to a great weekend in NYC!:thumbsup
I thought he could have got up as well. I thought the same thing in the maidana fight, Mayweather fight as well. He may be able to box, but he doesn't have that mindset to be elite. I give him a pass with the broken jaw, that's legit.
It was a big hook right on the button, and he was hurt. But, he could've gotten up, like he could've gotten up against Floyd Mayweather. He chose to stay down
his promoter shouldn't match anyone he wants to look good with a collazo type, and if they still saw value in him it was the wrong fight, but I guess they have stopped investing in him.
Who would you say deserves their accrued fortune from fighting least Audley Harrison or Victor Ortiz?
Victor Ortiz seemed so anxious in there like he wanted to prove something. Similar to Bradley against Provodnikov. The difference being Timothy got up while Ortiz decided he had had enough and called it a day.
