50/50 fight. both fighters have good power and shaky chins (morrison's is even worse) - whoever lands first.

Briggs. Briggs had pretty quick hands; and would reach Morrison's chin before Morrison's left hook reaches him.

briggs would beable to push him around and eventually stop him ...morrison would have his moments and possibly drop briggs but briggs isn't gonna go anywhere... i see this fight playing like the mercer fight

I remember seeing Briggs on Eurosport and other ropey sports channels at some point between 199-1997 and I said straight off, this guy will be a champ.

He wasnt as big as he was in the latter stages of his career, he was quite lean, but punched very hard and was very very quick, compared to the plodding slugger he became.
Perhaps his asthma played a part, but he looked excellent in his earlier years, easily the best prospect I saw at HW, ever.

He stops the Duke in my opinion in those early days

I hope we get the extreme underdog hw predictions back too.
Briggs would win by the way.

The Duke stops the Cannon, in a war.

Gotta agree with this . . . it is a sin that his asthma had such a terrible affect on his career.

I remember a commentator/interviewer saying to him that he underachieved during his career and his response was due to his asthma he overachieved.

I would like to have seen him without asthma to get a genuine idea of how good he could have been. He was brilliant around 1995-97

I'd like to see Shannon Briggs commentate for some network, I think the man has good charisma, and I would like to see the guy get paid.

They both fall over the place and somehow knock each other out of the ring where they lay unresponsive, fighting for air.

Last I read he was considering getting into promoting, then that he may fight again.

Be interesting if he could get down to his fighting weight in the mid/late 90's of 230lb, for the later stages of his career he was up around 260lb+

I know he got fked over in his fight with Vitali Klitschko, he basically made no money at all.

And that was a brave effort.

I don't want to see Big Cannon fight again, I'd like to see him get paid big doing something else.

Klitschko paid him peanuts and i think he ended up out of pocket in medical bills.
